I don't pay my taxes to have cops arrest criminals and then not be able to do anything when the criminal is released thanks to his bastard lawyer. Beat the son of a bitch harder next time. Save us taxpayers some money - you can't defend a corpse in a court of law. -Warik IP: Logged |

None of us can get on the "if people would obey the law this would never happen" bandwagon. AS are illegal, rec. drugs are illegal, running stop signs and jaywalking is illegal. Just about everything is illegal anymore. Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone, or something like that. I'm not sure, I saw it on the Simpsons. I don't agree with carjacking. I hope he gets the full punishment that the law allows. Some of you bros are right that lawyers have totally warped the criminal justice system. I've personally seen a man get away with murdering his wife (not OJ, it was local) by having a good attorney. That doesn't matter, the police have a right to protect themselves in the line of duty, but they don't have a right to get all jack-up on adrenalin and take their frustrations out on the accused. Its not the job of the police to punish, thats the courts job. The police are supposed to make sure laws are followed, and if they are not followed they are supposed to ticket, detain, or arrest the accused. Period. Thats all they should be allowed to do. I do think that he should be prosecuted to the full extent. Put him in a cell with Bubba the Lovesponge without soap-on-a-rope. Take away his cable TV, his weights, and congical visits. I get nightmares at night thinking of someone I know being shot or kidnaped over a stupid car. On a side note-It took me freakin forever to write this post. My spelling ability went out the window this morning. I had to look up some of the dumbest words, and still some are misspelled because they weren't in the dictionary. Where's the spell checker on this BB. I want my Word 2000. IP: Logged |
