Yep, a little disappointing. Shue looked pretty good in this flick though.

It was pretty good. I am still wondering how that guy was able to run around and fight and climb shit with a gaping hole in his stomach. I'm also wondering how our other pal survived 500th degree burns like he's Superman. =)

I have always been a big Verhoeven fan. I'll definitely go to see the film, when it comes to Finland where I live. All Verhoeven films have been great except maybe Showgirls and Flesh and Blood which weren't so spectacular. The director must be one of the best of the contemporary directors. Well, Stone is also great because of his Vietnam films. =)

Damn, you nailed that one! About the only thing in the movie worth seeing. Well, I guess the effects were cool, but the plot was so horrible; they didn't really develop any characters except Bacon's. And it seemed like they didn't even TRY to make the research behind the "invisible serum" at least half-plausable. Most sci-fi flicks at least put up a decent effort in supporting their storylines better. Also, from the previews, didn't it seem like most of the movie would be hollow man terrorizing the city, when in fact there was only like 2 scenes of him outside the lab? Anyway, bad movie, unlike "WHat Lies Beneath" with Pheipher and Ford - that scared the shit out of me!!

vlaovic... my thoughts exactly, on both movies.

they should have had him fuck!ng around with the general public more. and the ending (in the elevator shaft) was a *little* unbelievable as well. all in all, i was expecting more.

and "what lies beneath" scared the sh!t outta me as well. holy cow...

maybe he should have busted out some moves from footloose too while in the rubber mask stuff. hehe.

pretty good effects but disappointing in the depth of the story, it could have been so much more. ah well. worth $5.50 to kill a few hours.

I didn't enjoy the movie at all. It was too unrealistic. The first thing anyone should realize is that an invisible person would have to be blind... Insanity would set in quick otherwise. The burns... you got it. Just because he is invisible doesn't mean he isn't human. That was one fried up motherfucker, and he kept coming... No way. The woman did look extremely attractive though.
