Kind of a weird question, but I'm a big fan of import cars and was just curious if any of you guys are also into "rice rockets" as well, or cars in general? IP: Logged |

96 vette. got it new and still love every minute of driving it. it's like owning your own amusement park, open whenever you want it to be. definitely not stock, about 400hp now and still going. i do love rice rockets as well, love that import scene, and all those import scene ladies......! ouch! next car will probably be the new Eclipse for my little asian girlfriend, that won't stay stock for much more than a day either. also looking for a nice low milage used NSX-T for myself to tune a little. so if anyone knows where i can find one, please let me know! I like that!! Sandie, I knew an Asian dude who owned an import tuning shop - his best customer had the NSX T. Had sweet 18" in the back and 17" in the front, not to mention a little forced induction in the form of a Comptech blower! That thing ate every rustang... I mean mustang, in the city for breakfast (could proably do so in reverse). The 96 Vette is also a sweet car - you're lucky. I think if you score an Eclipse for your girl, she'll find a way to make that tiny back seat a little more comfy for you two! Havoc, is your bimmer a 5speed? IP: Logged |

I have a Holden HZ ute with a small block and chev stepside tray at the moment. But I did have a Torana that I built myself that I used to Drag race, it put out around 470hp at the flywheel, did low 11's on the quarter. I'm in Australia, so nobody has a clue what either of these look like, I might post a pic, cause they are both real head turners. IP: Logged |

Yea, I HATE IT!!!! It so fucking small! I feel like such a dork in it! I used to have a custom conversion minivan. It was like a fucking Sherman tank! It was so cool - I could practically stand up in it - with the TV and VCR. It had a V8 so it did have some pick up but, I was bigger than all the other cars so people just kept the hell away! The only thing I didn't like was that people would cut me off. Not because I drove like an old lady, it's just that they AUTOMATICALLY assumed that I was driving 45 MPH cause I'm a dork and not the ASSHOLE in the car in front of me! God that used to burn my ass! Here I have a van full of kids and people wouldn't let me change lanes (no one wanted to be behind me) and people would cut me off! HELLO ASSHOLE!!! VAN FULL OF CHILDREN!! I WANT TO SEE THEM GRADUATE HIGH COLLEGE - NOT ASKING MUCH HERE, JUST SOME COMMON COURTESY!! I feel much better now. God, How I miss that van! IP: Logged |

The only thing they added were (as far as I and the dealer know, info should be on kbb this month): Window tinting, hard and soft top. and a new center console with a subwoofer in it and cupholders for the rear passengers. I would have ordered a 2000 but they won't allow you to. 2001 in the last year for the straight six also. I got the Dana 44 with trac-lok and 3:73. I'm putting 31s on it as soon as I get it, plus an alarm, dual 10" subs and an amp. Have you lifted yours at all? I saw a new 6" lift for the TJ that allows 36" tires without a body lift. It would run on pump gas in 100 degree weather. I put a fogger on it but sold it before I shot it. No tubs, No custom turbo, no blower. Just raw horsepower. 1.42 60ft w/o a transbrake!!! It also weighed 3200 w/driver. Where's those dammed imports now??? It dominated at Mustang shootouts at Atco 10.5 tire class/no power adders. Nothing like a big small block at 7500RPM!!!
