The last post by Picasso got me thinking.....

What are some of the things your kids do that make you swell up inside?

- When my children are kind and compassionate to each other as well as others.

- When they do well in school - whether it be artistically or academically.

- When they do something well and are proud of themselves.

- When they realize their mistakes, accept responsiblity for them regardless of what the consequences for their behavior might be, and actually LEARN from those mistakes.

I'm proud of just about everything they do. I am blessed with two wonderful kids. I get compliments all the time. God is good to me.

Every now and then I see my boy do something like hold the door for a lady at the store or
shovel snow from the old guy next doors walk, and it just hits me that he's a young MAN.
He's no angel, but when I was his age I was smoking dope and cutting school etc,far from being a man.

That they ( I have 2 boys )are growing up into 2 nice young men, and have learned from their mistakes thus far, they are well mannered, and that they are my children, that alone makes me proud of them just sitting back and thinking about them.

I don't know if this counts as my being "proud" but when my 5 year old son says to me "Daddy..I didn't get no hugs or kisses today" with this sad look on his face..Man does then get a big hug and kiss. I'm not a real religous person..but I thank the Big Guy Upstairs everday for the gift he gave me....
