I've stopped dieting about a week before these were taken so I'm not quite at my peak but I think I look better than I once did. Hey I was a fatass at one point.

Cropped because of the dumb look on my face.

And thankfully, the last one for those who's wondering what's up with my legs. It was either this or posing in my undies.

Thanx guys. I'm just trying to build the best body I can.

Slabcat: I don't wear it like a medal or anything (BELIEVE ME) but I've never taken gear, clen or any anabolic pharmaceutical. Who knows I maybe I will one day when I decide I really wanna be a freak or I ultimatly hit the wall. ECA has played a major role though. Also I did very little cardio if any throughout this cutting phase.

Here's a typical day (but it varied day to day) for me during my diet:

6:45am e/c/a

7:15am Myoplex w/water

10:30am Oatmeal & peanut butter, glass of Skim Milk Plus (this stuff is GREAT, tastes like whole milk)

12:30pm e/c/a

1:15pm 2 chicken breasts, broccoli w/cheese glass of water

4:15pm 2 balance bars, water

8:00pm e/c/a

8:30pm 8 oz steak, glass of water

9:30pm train

11:pm Myoplex w/water

11:45 bedtime

Other supplements taken were multi-vitamins and flaxseed oil.

Keep up the good work.

Of I thank you all. And be good Binikimom, you're married. Well don't be too good.

And if I can inspire someone that's even better than kudos. As for my exact stats I have the written down some where. I have to look for them. But I know I 5'8" before and after.

other stats I can remember:

before:
204lbs
waist 33"
arms 17 3/8"

after:
170lbs (I probably weight a couple more by now)
waist 27.5"
arms 16.5" (they shrunk! Nah, it cool. That's happens when you lose fat)

pre weighlighting:
135lbs skinny kid. I'd have to dig up a highschool pic for you to get a true idea.

And ECA doesn't bother me sleepwise. I can take it at 9pm and go to sleep midnite no problem. But I'm glad to be off it. I was tired of feeling hot all the time.

cAbo,

Me genectically gifted? Nah, I don't think so. I am a natural skinny guy. What I do have is descent genectics (not great) for putting on muscle. And diet is so key (most important thing IMHO). Training right is key too. My routine is definately different from most. I have it on disc somewhere. If can't find if I'll type it up and post it. Also I have small bones. That helps create the illussion of looking bigger than you really are.

me at 17 or 18yo. around 140-145lbs

Warik:

I have small bones and low bf. My waist is 27.5" and wrists are just under 6.5" with just under 7% bf. What are you wrist and waist measurements and what's your bodyfat fat %? If they are not close to my measurements your answer lies there. Less fat+less bone mass = less bodyweight. Regardless I was shocked myself when I stepped on the scale and it said 170lbs. I haven't weighed that for 3 years.
And don't train legs? Not for nuthin', but did you look at all my pics? I squat 495lbs (to paralel & below sometimes) for reps of 10. Yeah, I train legs. But I'll put up my entire rountine since someone already asked me what it was. I'll find it tomorrow or just type it over.

show i dont know how you did it, my wrists are a little over 6.5. and still my biceps are still only about 14.5 inchs unflexed which is sad. my waist is like 34 inchs right now, which probably means my body fat is like almost 20%. do you do any sort of cardio? how do you cut the fat around your lower back and abs?

Glen,

As far training stuff I'll get into my exacts when I post my routine, but I can quickly say if you are a natural weight trainer you have to be careful not to overtrain. My sessions usually last 45 minutes on any give day. Add 10 minutes on days I do abs. I train 3-4x a week. I do very little cardio.

I will say whether you're bulking or cutting, DIET, DIET, DIET is the most important thing. You must eat to bulk. And you must eat to cut when it's time to cut.

Well, Show, my wrists are a few centimeters above 6.5", my waist is about 32.5" and my bodyfat percentage is somewhere between 8% and 10%. Even a while ago when I had about 6% bf, my arms were never that big. They have never been that responsive in terms of size, but they are usually ripped.

Sorry, I didn't see the pic of the quad shot... pics like that make me want to shave my legs too cause I've got pretty decent quads despite my not-so-high squat weight (265x6 ass to floor).

Oh well, maybe I'll get another inch on my arms finally when I weigh 200 or something, lol. Eventually some of that weight has got to go to my arms.

Congratulations Show, you look good, although you dont have a six pac, but thats genetics... Excellent shoulders... Do you train them (the guys with the best delts are usually the ones who dont train them...)
Hey guys remember he has been training hard for 10 years, normal people with 10 years of training dont need gear to be as muscular as he is, but of course the weight/arms proportion is genetics also...
The sad remark: i cant believe you squat 495lbs for 10...

Yep,

That's what I squat elitelifter. Well squated anyway. Last time I squated I did sets of 10 at 405lbs. Unless you think I should doing more after 10 years. To be honest I am in a weaken states with the lower bodyfat. Last time I did 10 reps at 495 was a month or 2 ago. A lot of squat is mental. Just throw the weight of there and go for it. If you fall down then you fall down and get yourself back up. I'm paraphasing Arnold there. Everything else you said is pretty right on. I train shoulders about once or twice a month. And I believe SANE amounts of gear will just speed up what you can do naturaly with time, patience, planning and hard work. No insane amount of gear in another story. You right about the abs to. I wish I had the genetics for a perfectly symetrical 6-pack but oh well I don't. And I got down to 6.4% bf at one point.

Show,

You have nice structure. If you do decide to ever use gear, the increase in size will look really good - everything is in proportion, and that is rare enough.

Looks good bro.

Looking good show, keep banging in the gym! Your turn to do a comp next year! You would be a damn good middle weight. You could come in at 178lbs and rock (I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you could gain even more muscle in the next year to come in another 2.5%bf lower than you are now and still weigh 178.)

Thanks for giving the benefit of doubt Conan. I tend to put on around 8-10lbs of muscle a year as of late. I really am starting to figure this dieting this out. So next year after another bulking phase (I won't get too fat this time) I'll probably be ready to cut-up and compete. Hopefully I'd be able to do respectably. The whole point of dieting this time was I knew I was fat and I had to do something. My moment of truth was when I couldn't button a pairs of 32" waist jeans I've worn before. I had to unbuttoned and hold them up with a belt. True story.

My before and after stats.

before:
5'8" 204lbs (even fatter then I was in that before pic)
Body Fat: I didnt what to know. May have been 16% or more.
Chest: 44.5"
Arms: 17"
Legs: 25.5
Waist: 34" (yeesh! I had a gut)

after:
5'8" 170lbs
Body Fat: 6.8%
Chest: 43.5"
Arms: 16.5"
Legs: 24"
Waist: 27.5"

Glen: I going to post my routine today. Gotta retype it. BTW I'm 27 and I do chins on the day I do back & biceps.

show,

first off, those pics look great. nice work.

i see you said that diet is the key. i realize that and i have to agree. just out of curiousity, how detailed did you get with your diet? did you do a macronutrient breakdown of what you needed and split that up into 5 or 6 meals? or did you just eat 5 or 6 clean meals a day?

thanks.

XdawgX,

I had the 40/30/30 plan in mind with my diet planning and tweaked it a little. A little more protein and a little less fat. I said to myself and I was going to eat around 200-250 grams of protein a day and figured everything else off that. Also keeping in mind.

1 gram of fat is 9 cals
1 gram of protein is 4 cals
1 gram of carbs is 4 cals

ex. say I followed 40/30/30 with 200g of protein. That would have me eating approx. (decimals involved so I rounded up)

200 grams protein - 800 cals.
89 grams fat - 800cals
267 grams carbs - 1064 cals.

Note I didn't follow 40/30/30 exactly. Plus I a posted a typical day for me diet-wise 6 posts into this thread. I hope this can help.

And since on this asked this thread and now Im gotting emails asking, heres a typical work week for me.

TUESDAY
back:
3 sets T-bar row, with an additional "warm up set"
3 sets of hammer strength pulldown
3 sets of life circuit row (it's a muthafugga, trust me)
biceps:
2 sets alternating dumbbell curls, with an additional "warm up set"
3 sets of ez barl curls
cool down:
finish things up with a couple sets of chin-ups.

WEDNESDAY
Chest/triceps/Brachilis
3-4 sets Flat bench, 6-12 reps +2 additional warm-up sets
3-4 sets Incline Bench, 6-12 reps
3 sets Dumbell Flies, 6-10 reps
Triceps
2-3 sets Lying triceps extension, 8-12 reps + an additional "warm up set"
2-3 One arm overhead DB extensions
Brachilis
3 sets reserve grip DB curlsl

SATURDAY
Legs
4 sets Squats, 8-12 reps + additional warm-up sets
3-4 sets Leg Press, 8-12 reps
3 sets leg extension, 4 sets Squats
3 sets stiff leg deadlifts, 8-12 reps
3 sets leg curls, 8-12 reps
3 sets donkey press, 20-30 reps.
3 sets seat calf raises, 20-30 reps
