Do you all always do squats 1st in your leg workout? I always do, but I changed it up the other day, just for shits and giggles. I did stiff-legged deadlifts 1st, then squats. After doing the deadlifts, I was handling about 2/3 of my normal squatting weight. I was pausing at the bottom of the movement before exploding up. My legs have'nt been this sore in a while. I might try this once a month or so now, although I'll have to leave my ego at the door. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I hear ya man. I can be hard to change it up because you know you'll lift less than you're used to. Good for you though! IP: Logged |

I have to seperate my stiff leg deadlift days from my squat days. I fucking blast my legs on those days!! I'm doing the stiffs tonight after work. I can't fucking wait! I was reping out 315 last week for 4 on stiffs. That shit blows my hams up! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I was using more weight on stifflegged's tahn I was squatting. I did 275 for a couple of sets of 12 on deadlifts, then did 2 sets of 25 with 225 on squats, then sat down for about 20 minutes trying to hold back my vomit. IP: Logged |

I hear what your doing T dog, but in my opinion Squats are more important, I used to do that shit, I would go up to 315 for 6 reps and end with a set of 12 at 275, then I would squat , the weight didnt change but my lower back was taken a beating , hurt like a mofo. IP: Logged |

Changing it up is a must in bodybuilding. Often this could mean u have a weakness in your hammies. Your body will adapt soon if you keep it up, and your squat will not be effected by doing SDL's first...unless you are tiring your body out by completing too many sets even b4 the SDL's. If you keep it up, I'd gamble your squat goes higher than b4 too. IP: Logged |

I started doing hams on back day for the same reasons.4 sets SLDL and 2 sets curls and my hams are responding great to it.I'm about to change back to leg day though, cause I'm gonna concentrate on my back for a month or so.I've always squatted first(or lunges sometimes) also, think I'll try switching once in a while, and see how it goes. Why not? Might work fine. IP: Logged |

On my squat days, my ATF allways come before the roman deads/ stiff legs. My main focus on those days is squating. I can only imagine how rough it would be to do 8 sets of ATF squats after heavy stiff legs. IP: Logged |

For the past couple workouts, I've blasted hamstrings with drop sets of stiff-legs, using heavy dumbells. Couldn't walk the next day! IP: Logged |
