I HAD A ROTTIE BUT HAD TO PUT IT TO SLEEP BECAUSE OF CANCER, BUT AT 5 YEARS IT WAS 155LBS AND NOT FAT AT ALL, IT WAS A FEMALE, AND THE BEST DOG I EVER HAD AND GETTING ANOTHER SOON. IP: Logged |

Chris, it was about three years ago so I'm guestimateing. I think HE was around 65 lbs. He really grew after his first year. Plus, if you have a male wait until he's almost two to have his nuts cut if your going to. It stunts thier growth at a earlier age. IP: Logged |

Hunter is coming up on two right now, and hes around 110lbs. I would guess at 5months he weighed in at around 50lbs or so. I will have to disagree about getting your dog fixed if he is male. If your not planning on studding him out, then you need to have him fixed around 5-6months. This will take care of alot of problems later on. Hunter was fixed at that age, and is still growing nicely. Just keep him on a high quality dog food like Iams Eukanuba so the pup dont grow too quickly. Thats pretty common for Rotty's. My rottie was about 55 lbs around 5 months, get that boy snipped you'll be glad you did. also look into canande dog food its up there with the eukanuba. bone meal and cottage cheese, they love that shit. IP: Logged |
