  Well, boys I had to do it! This morning I went and put a PFA ~ Protection Against Abuse Order on the ex man! He called all last night until 1 AM, then started callin all over again this morning, so I have been at the courthouse all morning and the police station. Try to realize that your leaving is probably very difficult for your ex. He very well might be in a state of shock. He might have cared for you to the point that he can't imagine life without you. This can cause a man to do weird things. Most of the time its very non-violent and will gradually diminish. Bringing the cops in sometimes is not a good idea as it will just create more anger and desperation in the man. I wouldn't suggest this unless you have already seen a violent tendency. The best way is not to shut him off completley and help him understand. This is if you had a long term relationship. Immediatley after a breakup a man feels betrayed, hurt, and most of all his pride is destroyed. Just some thoughts. Seen this before. IP: Logged |

DLADY, If he keeps calling you, you can contact the phone company and have that number blocked from your phone.n If you want to bring up further charges you can have the phone company keep track of all incoming calls to your phone. If they say they can't there full of shit! And if that doesn't help I live in NJ...I my X had the same problem with one of her old boyfriends...I solved his problems when I met him with 6 of my boys and pulled from the pool hall he was at....Gave him a hollow point and a message! Problem solved!

I never said that this situation was your fault. My main point is that a restraining order is useless. If this guy is distraut, then a piece of paper will not keep him from doing anything. The only way the police can enforce a restraining order is if they actually see him within the given radius. Generally what happens is this guy will come harass you, then you call the cops, then he disappears until the cops leave, then he starts again. Try to understand this guys motives and mentality. 90 percent of the time things will gradually get better. Time heals everything. Its easy to think that this guy doesn't have rights and that he should just leave you alone. Well, that's right, but its not reality. If I were you I would talk with him and choose your words very carefully. And like it was said before, he shouldn't know that you are with someone else. That above anything else would encourage a violent move by this guy. You know your ex much better than I. These are just my thoughts from my experiences. IP: Logged |

SLOPAIN, Thanks I wish I would have read that last night before I left though. (part about not mentioning it) We fought last night because of this. I went out and bought a Rotissiorie chicken, and just made some potatos and sweet peas for dinner. Kev, was just in a bad mood to begin with cause of shit at his work, so the night turned ou to be a fight and now yes, I might have lost him . The fucking lock the put on my door does not work so I have to have it replaced again today. They put the damn thing upside down so it wouldnt lock. I stayed at my friends house last night. TD, it is okay, I just feel like I rather die right now, or leave here for awhile, (yes I run from my troubles alot) so please do not take it personally okay buddy?
