I like Mattskywalker because of it's meaning. The guy has balls. An oldie was ASSFACE, that guy was crazy. Whole F/N show. Do a search for parachuting here, you'll come accross his exploits quick enough. I won't go into them because I know nothing about parachuting. But when a guy tell us he's jumped at over 35,000 feet with H2O at night etc.. he's got balls. Do the search man, it's worth the read. Maybe bump it back up here for his many fans. F/N Show, Star wars?? WTF? I got the name Skywalker because I used to be an Army Ranger (the handle "Ranger" was taken). While I was an Army Ranger I went to a school called HALO school (high-altitude, low opening). While I was there I learned some high altitude parachuting techniques, because at above 15,000 feet the air thins out. I've jumped from as high as 35,000 feet, wearing oxygen masks. As of now I have 381 jumps - day, night, rain - as low as 750 feet and as high as 7 miles. Matt The SKYWALKER IP: Logged |

use the force Matt. Let it guide your jumps. Seriously what you do is cool, when I was thinking about going ROTC they told me I could go to jump school and that was not a selling point. I'm not military at all eventhough I was in the National Guard to pay for college. I'd think I'd be too scared shitless to jump out of airplane. Maybe one day. F/N Show and othes, I'm ex-military now. Don't always miss it, but I miss the guys I served with sometimes. Skydiving is the best rush there is - I was really scared the first time too. "Jump school" as they call it, teaches static line parachuting, which is where s line connects from your chute to a cable in the plane and the chute is self deploying. That is used from low altitudes, from 1250 feet on down to 500 in a combat situation, though typically 800 feet in training. HALO school is freefall parachuting - that's where you learn to jump from higher up, leading up to 35,000 foot jumps with oxygen masks. HALO is for Sopecial Forces, SEALS, Force Recon Marines and a few Army Ranger units, which I was lucky enough to get into. even after literally hundreds of jumps, I still get nervous. It's not powerful fear like it was in the beginning, but there is still a little knot in the stomach. I love it. Favorite handle: cantgetlayed. That's fuckin funny. Matt IP: Logged |

Hey Matt, you looking for a promotor ? !!. I hope you did'nt mind me bringing up that para stuff again. I get a real buzz out of those stories, I like the one about the HOHO (is that it ?.) and taking something like 45 mins to decend. That kicks ass. Like I told you before, I'm still serving in the military, with service in Lebanon, Somalia and SFOR, I'm due a trip with either KFOR (Kosovo) or Interfet (east Timor) within the next year, although my luck I'm be sent back to Lebanon again. Anyway what i was going to say is I'd rather be in a combat situ as a grunt anywhere in the world than even make 1 parachute jump, and no kidding. Anyway thats going off the 'Best handle' post.
