Florida State Seminoles 2000 Schedule SEPTEMBER ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bro, that schedule is much harder than their real one. You're giving Bowden WAY too much credit. Until a playoff system is in place, FSU is going to smoke the ACC every year and wind up in the title game. A playoff would encourage FSU and similar schools to load up the schedule. In defense of FSU, they play Florida and Miami every year - Miami has been down, but are preseason Top5 this year. Who's your team? Matt IP: Logged |

Ohio State alum here. FSU belongs in a tough conference like the SEC or Big Ten to really show its stuff. I will give 'em credit for Miami and UF, but their domination of that basketball conference is embarrassing for all involved. I'm not ripping on FSU here! I like Bowden and the tradition he's built (I don't like that the same damn team is on top every year, unless, of course, it was my team!). By the way, do you know what the third favorite collegiate football team is in Florida behind UF and FSU? Ohio State! That's where we all go to retire! God created Ohio State. Michigan was subcontracted. IP: Logged |

I'm the first to adnmit that FSU would never go unbeaten in the SEC. I also like the SEC over the Big Ten, but that's probably because I lived in Atlanta for a while. Matt IP: Logged |

hold on...i'm an fsu hater, but even I have to say you're being a bit hard on them. if you look at the final bcs standings last year you'll note that they ended with the sixth toughest schedule in america. i'm a texas fan and i'm concerned that OUR nonconference schedule littered with schools like Little Sisters of the Poor will eliminate any chance of our playing for a title even if we do end up undefeated. don't forget the weight given to computer ranking and strength of schedule under the current bcs formula.... Bowden is one of the nice people I have ever had the chance to meet and if I got the chance to play ball for him I would take it. The college ball system needs a major reworking. IP: Logged |

I agree Cleaner. I used to bitch about wanting the old bowl system back that created tons of great and important match-ups on New Years Day. Remember when you had your choice of 2-4 bowl games to watch at any given moment from 10 AM to 1 AM? Then came the BCS and it blows! Only one game has any meaning. The pre-New Years bowls don't hold the same appeal either. We need to either go back to strict conference tie-ins and the bowls choosing who they want to get as an at large team or go to a 16 or 32 team playoff. I say 32 teams, because I believe it is viable if, in that format, you included all conference champions and, basically, the rest of the top 25. There would be no bitching about who got in and who didn't that really mattered with that format. Anyway, old or new is better than junk they serve up now. Unless, of course, your team is in the "title" game. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Fellow EF board members: backdatthangup's IP address is as follows: 149.99.193.123 If you don't know anything about networking or TCP/IP, you are about to get a quick lesson: This is a Class B IP address. Class is determined by the first 3 digits, and if they are 129-192, that specifies a Class B address. The IP address actually tells you the network ID, and the computer ID. Because it is Class B, the network ID is 149.99, and the computer ID (on that network) is 193.123 Class B addresses are generally allotted to universities/colleges, or medium sized corporations. Based on the (lack of) intelligence in backdatthangup's posts, I suspect a college. Some of you may have heard of dynamic IP addressing, whereby IP addy's are randomly assigned. This simply means that backdatthangup's Internet provider is utilizing a DHCP server, or Dynamic Host Control Protocol Server. Sure, a DHCP server will auto-generate IP addy's for a user, but it will also keep a record of the times that this address was assigned to individual users. God bless TCP/IP. Backdatthangup, you are not invisible behind your computer. You are only as hidden as I let you remain. It would not be hard to find you.
