....and let me tell you....IT'S DA BOMB!!!!!!!! It's a new Powerhouse and it is all state of the art shit. Upstairs and down. They were actually playing the new Korn CD on the sound system! That shocked the hell out of me! They have 4 squat racks, and they have 3 sets of each on the dumbells. I think the heaviest DB was 180lbs. Everything smelled so new, but I know that will soon change.

The only probablem I saw was that the new General Manager used to be a trainer at my old gym. He was cool as shit and was always friendly with me. Well...he was walking around like he was the shit and acting like a total asshole to the employees there. The people there already were talking shit about him so I see that he is gonna be a problem. He was trying to be a hard ass when it wasn't necessary. He should just chill out...he doesn't have to have a chip on his shoulder for no reason.

Hope you enjoy the new gym. Hopefully you'll have a good hard core membership there. I can't stand 'fitness' gym's. I've never been to the USA so I can't comment on the scene there. However here in Ireland your gym is either 'hardcore' or natural (i.e. fitness).
My place is very hardcore.
All the best.

Hey Flex did you ever talk to the guy in your office that you suspect complaining about your pics/trophies and things? I missed it on the original thread...

btw - *jealous* of your new gym...mines small but I like it!!

180lbs dumbells how lucky you are.
The owner of my former gym took out from 100lbs up because he said it intimidated people to see other people do that kinda weight and the loud sound when dropped scared people!
I called him a pussy and canceled my memebership and so did 9 of my friends (all of whom competed on a local and some on a national level for BBing and powerlifting)and we took our trophies home too.

He he good for you, IG.

My man has been helping me train in the gym for some time now, well, the manager went up to him the other day and told him that he was worried about how hard I was training and that he shouldn't be pushing me so much and that I was already in good shape. Can you imagine? Now you would think that a gym manager would understand about training. NOPE.

If there was another gym around we'd leave too. You'd think the mgr of a gym would be appreciative of the bread and butter. BB's would miss a mortgage payment before their gym dues you would think they would cater more.

I actually got asked to leave a gym for having 4 different training partners (because the manager thought I was a personal trainer and I was not paying money to the gym)

You would be surprised how couth, understanding and a really loud and FUCK-OFF can defuse even the most complex of situations.
