Why is he fucked? He'll just pay a fine and maybe have to go on probation. MLB doesn't have steroids on their banned substance list. I guess Bud Zeilig doesn't figure baseball players juice. Whatever. IP: Logged |

Sure, steroids are on the banned substance list. They are ILLEGAL. It is a given. They might not test for them unless they have a reason, though. D. IP: Logged |

I know steroids are illegal but I don't believe there are on any banned MLB sustanced list. I know MLB doesn't test for them and can anyone name one baseball player busted for roids? I'll look into this further at work tonight. I may be wrong. I know for sure though every sport but baseball has banned andro well I dunno about the NBA. But like I said Manny Alexander will be fine. Look at Michael Irvin. He was caught with coke and hookers and still played football a few weeks later. [This message has been edited by The Whole F/N Show (edited July 25, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Natymike: A complete idiot huh? whatever. As far andro when was it banned? Last thing I heard they were still looking into it but that was a month ago. But if you think a pro athelete is gonna pay especially for a first time offense like a regular person would then you're the complete idiot. For my andro FACTS here you go. Let me know what new ones you have. http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/andro.html [This message has been edited by The Whole F/N Show (edited July 25, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Come on fellas, the fact is they do not test for roids in baseball. But the common fract is they are running rampant. I mean when you have middele infielders hittin 30 40 bombs a year when their past high's were maybe 10 or 15 you don't have to be aq rocket scientist to figure it out. I mean the increase in hr"s over the last couple of years can also be attributed to expansion which inturn means less quality pitching. Simply put the long ball has brought back the fans and it is not in MLB interest to test for roids that is a fact . Money talks bullshit walks. IP: Logged |

Manny Alexander was never actually caught so he is not in trouble. But, Every newspaper and mag/news show are calling for Testing of Baseball players. Steroids are illegal in Pro baseball but they only test at the minor league levels (Rookie,A-ball mostly) Now I would say it's only a atter of time before MLB has to test. The players assoc will go nuts but there will end up being smaller players no doubt (sooner or later) All in all this is bad for AS as it gives the media a reason to write bad articles about AS. A lot of people are going to say that McGwires HR record should be asterisk'ed, who knows but it's not good. IP: Logged |

I could give less of a shit about baseball. I think baseball is probably the most boring sport there is next to maybe bowling. There is nothing exciting about baseball. The only cool thing that has happened for baseball in the past 20 years is that the homerun record was finally broken. I'd rather watch my cat sleep than sit through a baseball game. There's too many fat people in the league that make way too much money and they're always striking and bitching because they don't think they make enough money. The only cool thing about baseball is going to a game and drinking beer and staring at good looking women. IP: Logged |

Hey supersize why so bitter? You probably sucked at baseball huh? Do you know that hitting a 100 mph fastball is one of the hardest things to do in sport. I'ts still one of the greatest games ever invented too bad you can"t see that. Were all intitled to our opinion though and for that i respect you. IP: Logged |
