last night i went out to that place i was talking about last week mulchayes..(spelling) we left about 145am...im driving on this road..its a two way one lane each side then it turns into two lanes per side ....i had a few beers...so i was being cautious...some asshole was riding my ass big time i mean like 4 feet from me ...so i got pissed off...when the road turned into two lanes the girl went to go around me i sweved in front of her so she couldnt go...she went to the other lane and i stood in front of her again....so then i was like whatever let her pass me ...then when she drove by i started screaming at her...i go to make a left hand turn and a cop shoots out of nowhere and pulls me over....he gets out of the car ..let me remind you i was drinking but i wasnt drunk i only had like 5 beers....i was nervous my friends were nervous ... he starts yelling at me saying how he was going after her ...but that i was driving like an ass...so he pulled me over instead... one for failing to signal let me tell you i am mad ...about the tickets ...but glad i didnt get a dwi all because i had to be a tough guy ...

yeah i d i know i was being ignorant....i am such an idiot ...but i really dont drink that much ....usually once a week ..maybe twice if that ..it is the summer i have worked my tail off ..i just want to enjoy myself with myfriends you know ..you sound just like my mother also ..he he he ...lol

In todays world it pays to have a designated driver. You can lose to much by getting caught. But worse than that you could end up hurting or killing someone ( may be even one of your friend that are with you).. Sounds like you deserved the two tickets ... Hey Romeo, TRUST ME...ITS NOT WORTH IT!! Driving with a few drinks in you is retarded, I know b/c I got bagged. I got arrested for a zero tolerance violation when I was 17!! But mind you I had like 2 beers and blew a .04 in the breathalyzer. 2 beers doesn't get me drunk so whats the point of drinking them?? Just my .02. Hey that night ended up costing me about $2000. Thats an expensive 2 beers, isn't it?? If everyones gonna be assholes about wanting to drink then you can never go out. So do what my friends and I do and set up a driving rotation, so one night someone HAS to drive, and stay sober. It sucks but then when its everyone elses turn its ok! and Romeo, do you go to NCC for school?? wow ok its getting warm in here. Romeo knows what he did wan't the swiftest. But he got off, and learned a lesson. I read a stat that after 11:00pm %50 of the people on roads have been drinking or something like that. Everyone has down it once in a while and some, like me, have done it way too often. Ya! you got off lucky. That was a nice cop, not like most. In many cases if you are drinking and nice to the cop and he has an out like giving you a moving violation he will give you that and let you go if you are not just hammered. If everyone had your attitude this world would be a much better place. I always cut slack to people who show some sense of right and wrong. We all make mistakes, its those who accept responsibility and make an effort to learn from them that get a breaks. Sorry about preaching, its just Romeo is making a good point.

man, i useta' drive drunk somewhat frequently. no more. two weeks ago a good friend of mine (an ironman triathlete) was on a group ride at 10AM when a drunk driver plowed into them. one guy was killed and my friend's still in intensive care with tons of problems. triathlon training was his whole life and now some moron has affected 4 lives in an instant. props to romeo for realizing he was wrong, though. Yes, you were luck Romeo. You may not be the next time, so I'd get a designated driver if you were going to drink at all. I've noticed something really sad lateley. It seems like the younger crowd (late teens & early twenties) are getting so much more slammed (is that possible?) in clubs now and just staggering out as they close the place down. Romeo, you risk other people's lives so you can have a good time and get home (if youre lucky) without paying for a cab or calling someone, thats fucked up...on top of that, you were playing car games after having a few drinks...good that you are changing your ways and all,but dont tell me that you havent had the message drilled into your head at school a million times, we had yearly lectures on that shit, people who were mangled by drunken drivers begging us not to do the same to ourselves andothers, it would be a direct slap in the person's face to do so after they dedicated whats left of their broken lives to make the world safer for us and others ------------------ IP: Logged |

well brothers and sisters i havent been on in a while....i came back to some violent posts...but you know that i know i deserve everylast word written down by you people...i am not offended..nor do i expect anything less from anyone...i am a very responsible kid most of the time..im sure many of will have hard time beleiving that now...but i am..i know the damage that can be done with a car because i have seen first hand...and its fucking scary... the one spot i would have to dissagree with some of you ..is that fact of you saying i should have lost my license...well for a person who is 20 years old and i have never done what i did that night ..or will i ever again...i dont think that such harsh ramafications are called for ...if this is a touchy situation for some of you i appologize....like in steels case...i could make an arguement that noone should be allowed to carry or own guns...my father was killed by an asshole with a gun...but i know that not all people are irresposible with a gun..and have it either for hunting or saftey.....im just trying to make a point to some of you that being mad and letting me know it is ok in my book i will take whatever you throw at me because i deserve it ..just know that i am a good kid ...i am one of the good guys.....i am one of those people you want on your side when the shit hits the fan...i hope you will forgive me ..and know i just made a huge mistake and it will not happen again

Romeo it took a lot of guts to admit to such a thing. Hopefully this thread will help someone else think twice before they engage in such behaviour and who knows how many lives will have been saved? Whether one is dead, paralyzed or sitting in jail for one thoughtless, completely avoidable, but devastatingly wreckless act his/her life is as it was known to them - OVER! For that you get kudos. Having said this, WHAT THE F WERE YOU THINKG? You bitchin' about some tickets? Brotha, by consuming even ONE alcoholic beverage your reaction time could have been slowed enough or you could have been drowsy enough to close your eyes for just a split second and somebody's daughter could have been crippled, somebody's father could have been killed, you could have this guilt on your heart and head FOREVER!!! I always tell my hubby (and yes, it has happened once or twice where I had to get out of bed to go get him and then go back the next day to get his car - I NEVER COMPLAINED EVEN A TINY BIT! Heck I praised him for doing it! I do have to say though, that ONE time he drove home when he shouldn't have (over 8 years ago) and I tore him such a new one that I think he is sore to this day! NEVER, EVER DRIVE A CAR WHEN YOU HAVE HAD EVEN A SINGLE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE - CALL A CAB, CALL A FRIEND - WHATEVER - If you want to end your wonderful life take a gun and blow your brains out - BUT DO NOT KILL ME OR MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU WERE NOT THINKING!!!! I'm with slopain, steel beast comment was just a bit overkill. Granted imsorry for your loss brother, but there are too many hypocrites on the board. You know who you are. I do not condone what romeo did but we have all done it at one time or another. the important thing is that he learns from this mistake.
