I've seen you posting lately about not doing anything other than thinking about bodybuilding. I wanna tell you some stuff about myself. My senior year of highschool, i was anorexic. Har har, anyone can laugh it up if they want, but after being obese your whole life, you can go to extremes to change yourself. I got down to 110lbs at 5'5 at one time. this is about a year and a half ago. You saw me about the time I popped onto mm.com. I was then 120. for about 1 year and a half to 2 years, all I thought about was nutrition and training. Its screwed up...it can invade your every thought. I thought if I got "ripped" enough I'd look muscular, but that never happened. i know you aren't going through what i did (the eating disorder) but you can probably relate to the obsessive thoughts. You can try to fool yourself and say "yeah, I'm that dedicated". Go on and do it if you want to. I've done it. Skip this time though... Think ahead to when you are 70 years old. Do you want to think back on your life and think "wow, i slept, trained, rested, and all I got was this lousy t shirt", or do you want to think "I enjoyed my life, I made good friends, i made others happy, i was a fun person." I think you get my point man. If you want to be a career bodybuilder, do that crap, and try to enjoy it. If you are trying to look better, well, do you look better than you used to? Be happy with that. Don't obsess over it. You can change yourself, but you dont have to make that "want" the center of your life. I know its screwed up, but i've been there and i thought it sucked. If you don't want that life and you want to enjoy yourself, break out of your comfort zone. Will it kill you to skip a meal? Can it be made up for by upping your cals the next day maybe? try it. Take that girl out and have a fun night, treat her and yourself right, don't let bodybuilding get in your way, and just let what happens happen. You can't control everything man. Try to let it flow a little more. I'm not coming down on you, so i hope you understand what i'm saying. Right now, i'm still 5'5, 160 lbs, going into my soph year of college. i'm 20% bodyfat, but it doesn't bother me. If a girl turned me down because of that, shes too shallow for me. And I'm happier with myself and my life than I have ever been before. I haven't counted calories in months and i don't know many meals a day I eat, i just eat when i want to. I'm not saying this is how you should live, but man I just decided to live a way that I could be happy with. I just hope you can find a balance between fitness and your social life. Theres so much to experience. Take this right and do what you feel is right. IP: Logged |

Me personally love this feeling of lifting and eating and resting. I also want to go out in the world and where I go I am sure theres a gym there. you though had a personal problem and you didn't like it. ok I respect that because a hate certain things too that some people love. But BB ain't close to being one ever. I know this post is for frakal but I couldn't help but give my opinion. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Yeah if you live for lifting and all that, well thats you and if its what you truly want, thats your thing. But if its screwing with your life in general, that just sucks. I'd rather have my mind healthy and strong than my body. IP: Logged |

Bucky: Thanks bro. I truly do appreciate the time that you took to write this down. However, I believe that I have to do what makes me happy right now. And nothing, and I mean NOTHING makes me happier then being pumped up in the gym. Until I am big enough*** I don't think I can slow down.

Count me in also... I was fat when I was younger and when you make the turn you realize that this is a life-long commitment. It's like being a an ex-smoker or an alcoholic. You fall off the wagon and you might never get back on. I never want to be fat and slow and tired again! I'm in it for life. IP: Logged |
