Well I play videogames and I'm a man in every since of the word. BUT, there are spefic places to go to for such detailed videogame questions. I think this place is somewhat BB related. Check out www.gamefaqs.com

Now if were asking if I'm gonna buy the Playstation 2 this fall, well ya damn right I am!

Dlady:

What's mature in one persons eyes may not be in another's. I really don't give a flip what others think about my activies. Not an attack here but I'm just saying. Some people view watching TV in an immature waste of time. I agree video games can be a waste of time and I don't play as much as I'd like to because I don't have much free time but they are fun to me and a release from whatever that may be stressing me out. And an activity that you enjoy can't really be viewed as total waste of time. I'm sure there are things you like that I wouldn't be caught dead doing. Different strokes for different folks. You know what I'm saying?

I'm into bodybuilding true dat, but I have a helluva lot more interests than just that. Video games are one of them, but just one.

I dont watch too much tv so when I'm bored I pop in a game. Shit I even play Tekken(fighting game) with my wife. Just passing time. It takes no mental work so it's my way of relaxing. I only play once a week. That's the only hour I have free. Like when girls go shopping. You go to 10 different stores and buy nothing. Just enjoying yourself. That's what I'm doing. I'm usually too tired to play after I come from the gym so I only play during my rest day. BTW It's a guy thing just like Monday Night Football. You'll see when you have kids.

Dlady...it is interesting to hear your opinion on what constitutes a complete waste of time and what you consider so "immature". It is really no different than tossing a frisby around with some friends or even sitting and watching a movie. It is just a hobby that he does for entertainment so why the hostility?? It would be very elightening to hear about all of your "mature" hobbies and interests. This is not a flame, but to be so closed-minded and opinionated about something as simple as playing a video game occasionally is quite immature. Perhaps you should grow up?? BTW...I am over 25, not that age necessarily determines one's maturity level or intelligence.

IF SOME OF YOU KNEW A LITTLE ABOUT PLAYSTATION AND THEIR MARKETING,YOU WILL CLEARLY SEE IT IS DIRECTED TOWARDS THE AUDIENCE OF 19-35.I KNOW THIS BECAUSE MY FRIEND DOES THEIR TELEVISION MARKETING.ALSO TAKE A LOOK AT THE COMMERCIALS NEXT TIME.MOST HAVE ADULT THEMES.THE GAMES ALSO HAVE ADULT THEMES.DLADY YOU HAVENT SAT DOWN AND TRIED TO PLAY A GAME THAT IS WORTHWHILE.I IMAGINE YOU WATCH MOVIES OR TELEVISION.ITS THE SAME PRINCIPLE EXCEPT YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF THE CHARCTER OR CHACTERS FATE.VIDEO GAMES ARE BENEFICIAL IN THAT MOST CAUSE YOU TO CALL UPON THE PROBLEM SOLVING PART OF YOUR BRAIN.KIDS ARE NO LONGER THE DIRECTED MARKET FOR INTERACTIVE VIDEO GAMES.ITS A BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY SO IT HAS TO BE GEARED TOWARD THE PAYING MAJORITY WHICH HAPPENS TO BE MALES FROM THE AGES 19-35.SO DLADY REALIZE THE INTRACACIES OF INTERACTIVE GAMING AND I BET YOU WILL BE SUPRISED HOW MUCH BETTER IT IS TO ACTUALLY HAVE CONTROL OVER A STORY RATHER THAN SIT THERE AND BE FED MINDLESSLY PLOTLINES FROM MOVIE DIRECTORS.

After the night has wound down, and everyone is in no mood to go out, its time to gather around the playstation and play pass the controller on the latest football game. lately though, the games have been less than exciting...... computer games will always lead the pack against consoles

Its all about Perfect Dark on 64. The main characters a girl but the game is the best fps on the planet.

I love video games and I study up on the new consoles by performance capabilities.

ps2 does not have anti aliasing which is important for those graphic freaks. just a warning.

-X-box- will -dolphin- will. In the fun factor these 2 will have better realism

for psx guides goto ign.com become a member for free and you can get awsome game guides. I used one for syphon filter 2 and It helped out big time.

But PS2 will have a built-in free DVD player and since I don't have one yet the PS2 is a must buy for me. The X-Box ain't coming out till the end of 2001 and with the Microsoft monopoly case who knows if the thing will even gonna come out. I remember hearing big talk about the 3DO M2 and that thing never saw the light of day. I've seen the pics and the PS2 is gonna rock!

Don't hold your breath waiting on the dolphin. Ninentendo is the king of delays. Many believe dophin won't come out until early 2002. That's a long time to wait. Plus after what I saw with N64 I done with Ninentedo. Their target audience is obviously young children. Well atleast N64 had the best wrestling games.

And add a little extra help for for those you need it, to play these games you need to download the emulators and the roms.

Brief definitions

Emulator - The sytem engine, it makes your computer run like an SNES, Genesis, arcade boards etc.

Rom - the actual game

Just think of the emulator as your "SNES" and the Rom as the game cartridge. And my bad classicgamiing doesn't have SNES roms & emulators but www.emuclassics.com has 'em. Zsnes is a damn good one. Runs about as good as the SNES itself. Happy gaming ol' skool style!

I am 29 and enjoy playing video games a lot. I own a Playstation, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, and will be getting the PSX2 in October (already pre-ordered). Sometimes I think I am too old and should find a new hobby, but I work with a guy who is 37 and he plays videogames just as much if not more than I. He spends a lot of $$$ in arcades where I save that $$$ for my home systems.

They are a hobby/pastime. If I wasn't playing I would most likely be watching tv or something.
