does anyone know if the feds can access and read your private e-mail? and if they can, can they take it off of your computer? i do not want to sound parinoid but i had an e-mail dissapear and i thought my wife deleted it but she said she did not. how can we protect ourselves? later bigguns IP: Logged |

i think they can, just like anyone else who can hack a computer. to save your ass just set up an account with hushmail.com its encripted so no one can read your emails. and its free. swol IP: Logged |

Yes they Can They can also read your hush mail even if its encryped The only semi safe wat is to PGP all your stuff up...! Also if your worried about being hacked there is a program called Black ICE Defender And it logs all network traffic to your pc and will flag up anything that points to a attack on your PC I use it most hackers use it Im a software consultant and deal with our network security at work so if you need any help gimme a shout and i will do my best also if you need any DEMO software if you get my drift gimme a mail..! ------------------ IP: Logged |

There is no safe way to hide from the feds-NOTHING WILL WORK. If they believe you are worth the effort they will have your entire life on tape/video/etc. You would be amazed if you knew how many streets and corners were under constant video watch as well as parabolic microphones. They can do anything they want and a lawyer will be no help. Just hope they don't view you as a bad guy or as a link to one. IP: Logged |

Sure there is nothing safe from them IF they want to spend the time, get the warrants whatever. Personally I think everybody should use PGP, but it seems to be too much trouble for alot of people. I use PGP, ScramDisk, and Kremlin 2.0 for various levels of security on my personal PC. IP: Logged |
