Dynamic tension is basically the program Charles Atlas pimped in the back of comic books for over 50 years. You've probably seen/heard of the "Kid getting sand kicked in his face" adds. It is based on a lot of isometric exercises. For instance, instead of curls and tricep extensions you could flex your arm muscles tightly and perform curl-like motions in which your tricep was actually battling your bicep with no additional weight being held. I use isometrics sometimes when I am working cardio to make it a more "full body" workout. This kind of exercise could probably help, but would not be that effective for BB'ers because we all know that bigger muscles are built by lifting bigger weights and the resulting adaption. Then again, maybe I'm just talking outta my ass Puc IP: Logged |
