I'm no expert on writing faqs but if you want to post a picture here and don't know how, this may help a little.

1. Find a suitable online storage place - www.photoloft.com is one of the better ones. www.photopoint.com is one of the easier ones. (you could even use one of those 'build your own websites' it doesn't matter, as long as the file can be viewed on line, you can use the site)

2. Upload the pic onto your account at whatever site you picked.

3. View the file online, and copy the whole URL that appears in the location bar of your browser (with photoloft the actually just give it to you). Heres a tip. When you see nothing but the uploaded picture on the screen your ready to copy the URL.

4. Paste the URL into your post, with [img] [/img] around it (no spaces).

5. Example (no spaces)

I hope this helps.

Nah it can be a bitmap, gif, tiff and a few others but JPEGs are best because they are compressed and hence the smallest types of image files. They take up less space on your HD and take less time to upload and download and view. Everyone should have a least one program on their PC that allows you to convert image files to JPEGs.
