having started this job at GNC i have noticed that everyone, even the managers, rip this place off. We got a shipment in the other day and my manager says "what do you need". He then tells me that he can right up the stuff and say it was damaged in shipping. I told him nothing, but he gave me a couple nitro tech protein cans and a couple boxes of prue protein blueberry cheesecake bars.

I may make money from drug addicts, but shit man even i have a line drawn and stealing from work is it. Just wondering if I am just a ethical person or just not a loser the cant be trusted.

I guess I'm a fucking thief. I worked in a grocery store for 8 years. For most of those I worked late at night and got off right before the graveyard guys came in. With me and only one other guy in the store It was to easy. I got everything: protein, vitamins, chicken-meat-fish,alcohol when I used to drink. Damn I miss that job!!!

I hate GNC. Every time I go there, whoever is working tries to sell me the gold card. Even when I tell them I have one already.

Yesterday i bought some whey protein and the fucker charged me for the gold card-said I qualified for it-I left the tub on the counter and said thats it! Never coming back.

If your boss condones it and you have no problem living with yourself, go ahead...

My GNC clerk gives me as much as I can carry at once for $80. No bullshit. Lets just say I have one bag on each finger when I leave the place. Amazing!...I feel guilty as shit but I justify it by telling myself these bastards make WAYYYYY too much money and the supplement companies even more and I have given GNC thousands of dollars already.

Oh, and I can go visit him any day of the week. Clerk then takes the money and puts it in his wallet! Says he needs it for Xtacy. He'll get busted soon and I am a ghost that never existed. Amazing. I have a small GNC at my house.

I have a friend who is an accountant for a major company and steals 1500$$ a week from the company!!!!!!!!!!! and has been doing it for 2 years now and no one has ever suspected nothing if u work in a company were they make millions of profits a few hundrds or even thousands won't make a difference . I remeber when I was in high school I had broken into a warehouse in totonto were they had these ab machines called ABFLEX and I stole close to 500 of them and I was selling them for 50$ each they were selling them for 80$ on T.v . And I never got caught We put them in a big truck. PS: This was the worst ab machine that ever existed it sucked big time but dumb people would buy it like crazy . So when u get an opportunity to steal money and the chances of u getting cought are small GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boy from the gym works at GNC every sunday. I just walk in there and get what I want and leave without spending a penny. I even see him pocket money instead of throwing it back into the cash register. Im sure thats why GNC prices are going up every year. Its cool though..unless you pay full price. haha

okay count me in-
when i worked for a pharmaceutical firm i stole tons of test cyp and enanthate by steris....i took lots of phentermine, and my biggest money-maker...generic lortabs...actually i just diverted it from the trash...the lortabs were dosed with close to 9 mg of hydrocodone instead of the prescribed 5 mg, the juice was expired by a year, and the phentermine was a test batch and not sellable.....god those were the days....

Interesting that your manager gave you products even though you said you didn't need anything. He's protecting his ass by making sure you are implicated in the stealing, too. Some people still don't steal even though it is easy to. I got an email at work last week from someone saying they found cash on the stairs and would the person who lost it please contact them??? That blew me away. Still a few honest people around.....

I worked for a vet supply company the summer before I stated college. It was in a warehouse shared with Rugby Parmaceutical. I was in charge of shipping, and after a while, I was moved to inventory. For some reason, Rugby had a shortage of people, so they gave me a job working second shift. I didn't know much about gear at the time, but I had full access to EVERYTHING. Never stole anything, however.

I can honestly say that I have never stolen anything from work. My feeling is that if I was going to risk the embarrasment of getting caught for stealing something the gain would have to far outweigh the risk. In other words, if I'm going to risk getting busted (risk is always there) then I'd rather it be a 50 million dollar diamond tiara (not that this item would have any value to me whatsoever - what the hell would I do with a freaking diamond tiara? I could where a dime-store crown around the house and the pleasure would be the same. It's all pretend anyway. Could I ever leave the house wearing the real thing? Yea, I wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb wearing sweats, the tiara surrounded by all my kids at the local A&P.. ) So I should risk humiliation for maybe umm, some manila folders or some protein powder instead?

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that when I was a little girl I happened across an opened bag of Hersey's miniatures in the grocery store. My reasoning was that because it was already opened it would be OK. As I began to put the candy in my pocket a store manager (or maybe it was the stockboy, I don't know I was young and everyone over the age of 15 seemed big) said, "What are you doing?" As I stood up with my pocket bulging and my hand still in my pocket I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me whole. The manager asked for the candy back and told me that if he ever saw me in his store again he would tell my parents and the police that I was a thief. I don't know what I feared more. My parents beating the living daylights out of me for stealing or my parents beating the living daylights out of me for getting in trouble with the law! Needless to say I never EVER want to feel that kind of shame again. If I want something, I ask for it. If it is for sale, then I buy it PERIOD.

I have to agree with bikinimom on this one. I am in a position at work to steal money on a regular basis if I wanted to do it. There is a really good chance that I would never get caught. BUT, even though I believe almost everybody has a price, it would take a hell of a lot of money for me to give up what I've worked hard to achieve so far, I mean the respect of my coworkers and friends in my company and in my industry. The extra $100 or $1000 per month isnt worth it. Dont get me wrong, I am as greedy as the next guy but everybody has a reputation, good or bad, and once its bad you can never change it.

I brought home a gas mask, flak jacket, about 500 rounds of 7.62, some smoke grenades, a leather flight jacket and some other stuff that I could get my hads on. I know much of this post is joking around, but I am actuall serving 2 years adjudication for stealing from work. I was an very good guy, never really got into trouble, even decorated in desert storm. Then my wife left me and filed for divorce. She took everything. It totally changed me. Suddenly my whole life was wrapped into beating my wife in divorce court. This meant money for a lawyer that I didn't have. I took two laptops from work and pawned them. Got caught about 6 months later. My life for the last two years has been hell. One period in my life where I let my values slip. Because I have never been in trouble before, I had to pay 4000 in fines, 5000 to my lawyer, and 280 hours of community service. I don't like sharing this experience, but just wanted to let everyone know what COULD happen. Its just not worth it.

When I was 4 or 5 I wanted to get my mom something so I stole this piece of jewelry from JC Penney. I gave it to my mom and she knew right away I had stolen it. She made me return it to the store manager and it was a very hard thing to do. But the lesson stayed. I know I would not steal today if given the chance. The only thing that could make me steal at this point is if I had kids that needed basics (food, clothing shelter).

I used to work at a Car audio store, and I stole some speakers and a cell phone.. well.. some dickhead reported me and obviously I was fired. The only thing that sucks now is the only car audio I want to buy is from that place, and 2 years later the same people are still working there.. plus if I see someone on the street I recognize, I have to look at the ground when I walk by them. I haven't stolen anything since, I have SOO MUCH of an opportunity to steal LAN cards, memory etc from where I am now, but, I like being able to walk down the street and not worry who I am going to run into or a fear of being caught.... better to just grunt it out day by day then risk comprimising your character for a short term material gain...
