I have read several post about, What if you saw this or Hommies did this and I did that! Most of you know that I am the cop on the board, so here comes some advise from the dark side. You don't know who you are fucking with. You see something and you jump in, the asshole pulls out a gun and kills you. Don't let your young ass write checks your body can't cash. (sorry, had to use that line from top gun) Here's my point, you can't go around with this attitude that you are going to teach someone a lesson by beating their ass. Yes, it's a great thought to right the wrong and I commend you for making the bravadious statement that you would. Check this site out (www.lapdonline.com) go to the news releases and read about all the murders over nothing. I am not saying not to get involved, use your cell phone. If it gets so bad that someones life is danger and you can resolve the matter, jump in. It has been my experience though, that I would be cleaning up an extra body if you did jump in. It's your choice. The point is, "if you get involved, there are no time outs, no rules and no take backs." Make sure you know what you are getting into. IP: Logged |

Yeah thats no shit. It is good to have cops around to help keep the head straight. You guys may have given me 5 felonies and fucked my life up for a year, but hey we all have jobs to do. Calling the cops doesnt work. They are to busy writing tickets and fucking with my growroom to take care of the real problems in society. Don't just sit around and perpetuate stereotypes. Just as in all lines of work there are people who should not hold the positions they do. From religious leaders to cops. Wannabe, maybe you should do a ride along with your local PD or sheriff's dept. I think you would be amazed at what law enforcement officers really do. I have never met a cop who would not act. Even in the face of gun fire, not one officer backed away. Obviously i can't speak for all cops, hell, I don't even like alot of cops, but their not cowards. Just think Wannabe and Cleaner, 2.5 cops are killed every week getting envolved. A coward is someone who sits behind a computer and writes dumb ass shit, knowing he is safe. IP: Logged |

I don't belive that all cops are cowards, shit I don't belive that any cops are cowards, its just most of the ones I have delt with have been arrogant and full of shit, I watch cops every night between 2 and 4, I'm addicted. but it does make sense not to fuck with a bunch of thugs who will kill you over nothing, most of these dudes have nothing to live for but their illegal ways, (no offense moe), I had a friend that went to mardi gra in galveston several years back, well not close friend but anyways, he ended up shooting 3 people and killing 2 because someone talked shit to him, Well, now he's doing life in the State Pen. my advise would to be--- "pick fights with respectable people" ------------------ IP: Logged |

well lc576 -nice badge number anyway how many times have you been shot at? Me I have had two expriences. Until then you don't know shit - so shut up. Most cops don't give a rats ass. I'm the vice pres of nieghbor group and block captain and I know all my local cops. They could give a fuck what happens. New York - It wasn't just one cop turning away - it was several. I'm not choosing sides in the "good cops - lousy cops" debate. All that I can relay is my own personal experience and so far the very limited times that I have had to deal with law enforcement officials has been positive - like somebody like me poses this major big threat to society. Having said this I have been told many stories by my female friends where police have out and out conducted themselves absolutely innapropriately - major rudeness and sexual harrassment. But again this has NOT been my personal experience. Does this mean that I am too butt-ugly to be "hit on" - maybe, that's cool - or is it just that I've not the same misfortune to run into these assholes on the job. I believe it to be the latter of the two. By making these comments I am not trying to negate the experiences of others. I am simply relaying my own. I believe this world is full of SCUM - disgusting trash that is lower than any other form of life on the planet. And sadly, TOO MANY of them are ministers, priests, school teachers, youth counselors, wives - mothers, little league coaches, husbands - fathers, and sadly those entrusted to protect and serve: police officers, and the list goes on and on. Thank you brotha' constable for reminding the impetouos young brothas that though they may be the ones who will attempt to save the life of me or my daughters - it may also very well cost them their own! I will take sides. I have been arrested 4 times. The cops did not cause even one of them. They are doing there job. I am glad they are there. There are some lazy ones, but that is just human. There are lazy people in every job. There are some that don't care, but again this happens in every job. There are some that care so much they would die to help you. This does not happen in many jobs!!!! Cleaner You have been shot at. Was it because you were trying to help someone you did not know? Cops did not cause the need for gun fire. let me just say, if I was a cop, I would be crooked as hell, if I discovered a stack of hundreds in drug money, shit, if nobody was there, its all good. The mob bribed cops all the time back in the day. I can't really talk shit about cops because I would probably be a disgrace to the force. cleaner i am not at all satying what those cops in ny did was right but ..you have to undertsand that there is so much tension between cops and citzens .,..that people are out to get cops ...they are losing respect for what cops do......im sorry if i offend anyone with this comment but if i was in the situation with ...those cops when they shot that guy on his porch 40times i would have done the same thing ...i dont know about 40times but i would defend myself at all costs ....police have a dangerous job....thay have to take precaution to keep themselves alive ...instead of suing the cops everytime something goes wrong ...embrace them and support them just my opinion peace romeo IP: Logged |

Cleaner, "COP" stands for Constable on Patrol. Dlady, not here to watch you, I have been bodybuilding for 15 years. I would love to be able to use anabolics, because of my job I won't. And yes many cops use them, thats their choice. If any of you ever have a question regarding law enforcement, I can answer it for you.

NO I'm just razzzing LC576. I'm good friends with a lot of officers. Truth is 90+% are good guys - don't know how far they will go to risk thier own life but they are good people. Just get tried of the glorified(sP) we are the good guy shit.

First of all, he (or she) is being straight up and telling us that he/she's a cop. He is offering himself as a resource, which is cool as hell and rare. So be fucking nice! This board is supposed to be about community, about stripping social and political barriers and bonding as bb/pl enthusiasts. I reiterate what several people have said already -- there's good people and bad people in all professions. When cops look away it's wrong, but when you compare that to the thousands of cops that you NEVER hear about that day in, day out do their job with honor, it speaks volumes. Sensationalism and fear sell media, stories about people being good don't. And don't get pissy cause cops bust you for what there are laws against -- they're enforcing the laws created by lawmakers -- it's the lawmakers fault, not the cops. Sic the lawmakers if you want change. As for attitude -- wouldn't you have an attitude if all day, every day, you saw murder victims, rape victims, child incest victims, theives, killers, liars, people that hate you AND have to deal with the social stereotypes associated with being a cop? Cops see alot more than I'd want to see. Give this guy a break, he's playing straight and hasn't attacked anybody that hasn't provoked it. IP: Logged |

well truck I suggest you go raed his post! He has been very critical of us - very I have nothing against the guy just throwing a little back his way. So is he cool - yeah I think so but, do I care for things he has said in the past - No. Its is never as simple as it appears in one post! And job has nothing to do with attitude. I see hurt injuried peiople all day. I talk to wives after thier husbands have lost arms. I visit them in the hospital. I talk with the kid that just lost his fingers. I am not a big fan of cops, I would never make a blanket statement about all of them however. Although there is a lot more of your power-trip driven officers than in most other proffesions, its like anything good and bad apples. LC on a side note, I had always thought the word cop came from in the old days being short for copper (the metal) b/c the badges used to be made of copper. Slopain IP: Logged |

I do respect the work cops do, but like it was stated earlier, cops have this cocky attitude. This pisses me off and is really the cause for the poor public image about cops. I understand cops being very cautious, but why do they have to be such asshole, jerks like they are better than everyone. Although I have never been in trouble with the law, the first time I got a ticket kind of left a bad impression on me. On my 17th birthday a cop gave me a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. After he hands me my ticket he said "by the way, Happy Birthday" with a smart-ass grin on his face.
