I've noticed on a lot of a good boards (like I consider this one to be) there are always some people who seem to get off on making asinine idotic statements. For what I reasons I dunno. Maybe it's just to get a rise outta people because they have no life. So what do you about them? You kick can them of the board and they can just come back with another name. You can call them out, or you can just ignore them. I like the last one best myself as hard as it may be. Usually when you ignore these idiots they just go away because they realize intelligent people won't humor them by playing their little games. Then again, a good deleting never hurt either (George & Mods R U listening?).

I deleted it. I don't what to see a 100+ post full off people arguing about race with my name on it. I'm washing my hands of that topic here. People feel the way they feel and I have better things to do with my time then worry about it. But I DEFINATELY want this one to stay up.

When you put genetics and race in the same sentence to make to point you are asking for trouble. Rather your begging for it. The Nazis used genetics beliefs to justify their actions of WWII and that's a fact. Slavery in America was also justified with such arugments. So it's easy to see why genetics/race statements are quick to cause an uproar.

Like you said this is the internet. And you don't know what someone's intentions are. Someone may be naively asking a question and maybe they're not being naive and instead hateful. You don't know because you don't know the person. It wasn't so much his 1st post that was bad. It's was the posts that followed on both side of the issue after it. I guarantee you when a true racists reads a post like that he is going to add his racist 2 cents in on it no matter what race he is. Also, when you are a minority non-minorities often think your over sensitive, but you experience racist shit constantly that non-minorities don't see, don't comprehend or don't believe. Genectics is often a red flag in terms of arguments that some Grade A racism is on the way.

I have a college education and am fully aware of what happened during WWII and the times of slavery. You should be aware that the year is now 2000, and people of all races should be able to talk about genetics without being called racists. I agree with you that some replies to my post were racist. But to call me a racist because of a thread on genetics is ludicrous and an insult.

PS, If talking about genetics breeds racial hatred then I guess we have an awful lot of Anthropology and Evolution professors who should be immediatley fired.
