![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I want to build some muscle and lose some fat. I'm so damn confused at this point. I really want my bodyfat down to like 13-14% but I'm afraid I'll lose all the muscle I've gained.Should I just lift heavier? Should I eat more? God, I never want to be fat again.(I was 190 in Dec. of 98)down to 145 since then and have maintained that for almost a year/ in August. I'm the one whos doing the one meal a day plan on the diet posts. I'm game for any responses that will help me. One problem I have is sticking to a strict diet I like eating alot and I cannot fucking live on protein shakes. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once I found my abs, a strange thing happened...I didn't want to lose them. I feel a lot more comfortable when I don't bulk up too much as well. Therefore, I've hindered my gains, but stayed lean. Muscle mass has come, but slowly. What I've done is eat just a little over my maintenance level in calories (200, 300 calories max on a diet that right now is about 3500-3700 calories). If your goal is to be lean and you can accept slower muscle gains than if you were to "bulk up," then you may want to try this. And before I get flamed, I know this sounds like a "Flex mag diet." However, I fell into this on my own, and like I said, I just feel more comfortable in my own skin staying a little leaner. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oops, I guess I didn't "fill out" my response enough. If you want to try what I do, eat 5-7 meals a day. Limit your carb intake later in the day except after workouts. Keep your protein up as best you can without the shakes that you dislike. I love to eat a lot too and knowing that another meal is right around the corner (about every three hours) keeps that impulse in check. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The lady's board is great and they give good advice! Lift heavy you will know when you want to lay off. Put on the muscle and then when you get it were you want it / maintain it. You should have an easy go of it - think practical and long term. Goodluck IP: Logged |
