Whats up with this thing. How long ago did it pass? Doesn't look to be making any friends. Do you think it will be repealed? I just heard about it the other night. IP: Logged |

It's a real fucking pain in the ass, you have to register all your firearms and everyone must have a gun license, ie they have to take a damn safety course if they want to own any type of gun at all, even shotguns or hunting rifles. All guns have to be registered by 2002 i think??? i'm not 100% sure on that date, if you're caught with a gun after that, you're basically fucked. The biggest problem is that the people who are registereing the guns the RCMP, are retards. Their database is fucked, they admit to having a 20% error rate in the imputted information, nice eh???? so if you've registered your gun and someone wants to check there is a 20% chance that it will come up unregistered or not registered to you, and then you're fucked and have to fight it in court, Canada is really pissed me off with the damn law, damn retarded politicians, i could go on, but i'm tired

Did they ban any guns? I could deal with the classes - you have to take a test to drive a car, but you can just go pick up a gun. I just get mad when they try and tell me whta I can and can't have. IP: Logged |

Ban guns, damn, In Canada you can't get any damn guns, you can't get a license to carry unless you work for a security company like Brinks, or you're a cop. Good luck on getting a handgun for personal use, if you're using it at a shooting range, then you can get one, but every time you want to move the damn thing you have to get a permit to transport it. SO you have to leave the damn thing at the range. You'll never get an automatic weapon in Canada, and they've started banning certain guns, the max you can have in a rifle is a 5 shot magazine, they're banning most of the semi-automatic rifles, i can't believe it. Pisses me off to no end.

Iron Man hit it on the head. Registration isnt the ultimate goal. It scares the hell out of me to think that in the future some asshole like Clinton will be in the White House dictating (literally) what our freedoms are, and we are at his (her) mercy because our weapons were already taken away. I'm curious as to how many people will be willing to stand and fight the next revolution when the time comes, which I hope it doesnt. IP: Logged |

No its cool thats why I asked. i live in the states but everyone should be able to have a gun if they want one. And it should be what ever they want. The cops shouldn't be the only ones with the cool shit. IP: Logged |

Guns are easy to find. Maybee not Automatics. However i think it is good to have gun laws, because if you get caught doing something with it(kill someone or rob a bank?,what ever) it is one more thing they can throw at you. Little fuckin 12 year olds can get guns. When i was 12 people thought you were fucked in the head if you would swing a stick at someone, now kids are shooting kids. IP: Logged |

Yeah...and if a police officer suspects you have unregistered firearms in your house they can enter it without a warrant!!!!!! as long as they have a reason. Once in your house...they can search everywhere and rip stuff apart to locate firearms. In the case of a business they don't have to have a warrant or a reason.....they can just go in as they please.
Bill C-68 is a waste of tax dollars . IP: Logged |

Hey Jim don't buy into the propaganda. There are enough laws on the books now to give crooks serious time for using guns. The problem is that NOBODY does serious time for anything. In legal parlance, 20 years means 3 or 4 years. Life means maybe you can get out in 7 or 8. I think the long sentences are given to make the public feel that the courts are doing their job. But the illusion is over. The secret is out. The system is FAILING. So what do they do? Do you thing our government is going to accept responsibility for its failure? NO! Blame it on the guns and pass more laws. What a fucking joke! Rise up with me my brothers!!! It's time to take our country back! F R E E D O M ! ! ! Sorry bros. Got a little carried away there at the end. Must be the E/C/A. Either that or too many Mel Gibson movies. [This message has been edited by 5setsofsix (edited July 21, 2000).] IP: Logged |
