Im 17 and play alot of sb, love it, play 2 to 3 times a week. Well anyway tonight I hit one out. The fence is 285 at left and I hit it towards the right a little bit, in left yet, and it went over the net which goes up about 30 feet high. Great feeling guys, first one this year for me, 2nd in league, but yet the farthest. Just wanted to brag a little bit.

dude, softball is the shit, I play twice a week, wish I could play 7 times a week, I play on 300 foot fields, I remember my first bomb in softball, felt like a pimp for the rest of the week, I played competitive baseball all my life, and now I developed my swing to a softball swing. Anyways, not to brag but I usually hit one a game now, there is usually a 2 homerun limit per team, I'm 6'4 with really really long arms, so when I extend them the ball really takes off. Congradulations bro, hitting a bomb is just about the best feeling around, your only 17, I hit my first when I was 18 at 170lbs, now I'm 20 and 195'lbs, Dude, hit the weights and pack on some more muscle, You will dominate softball!!!!!

Were you prepared for it bro. What I mean is did you have your homerun trot down or did yo sprint around like it was your first ever? Either way congrats thats cool.

Also, the best part about hitting consistent bombs is that you eventually start walking down the line like Bonds or Griff just starring at it, until it lands, then you take a slow jog around the bases, wow, I wish i had a game tonight.

Thats sweet Blow. I remember playing when I was younger when I lived in the city. We weren't organized but a bunch of kids just made set teams. Hitting jacks rule. We had a huge 100 foot fence we called the "the steel monster" like the green monster in Fenway. We hit homeruns over it sometimes if we got enough swing into it. Everyone had at least 1 but they were all one yarders(back yards of peoples houses), so one day I went to a game with a mission. Set the record for how many yards the ball went. The record was 3, my back yard. I blasted that baby 4 yards deep just clearing my yard. Good job, keep hitting jacks.

wheres the perfect pitch, its flat and inside for me, then I can turn on it and put everything into it, I just have to keep it fair.

I hit a home run everynight in that case, jk. My perfect pitch is short and kinda flat, doesnt have to be real flat, just short. Middle of base too.

Mine is either straight down the plate (who's isn't) or low and just to the outside. I got the uppercut swing like Mcgwire but mine is different cause when I hit them, I'm a left handed hitter, they go out towards right field and rarely ever to left.

Man I am afraid of the ball so I alway play catcher or right field. My work organized a game and we were going to play a group of guys from the business across the street. All the guys at my work were talking like they were great so I got nervous and said I either need to EH or Catch.

Man we bat first and the put me 10th which was okay with me, because I thought they were A players. The first 3 innings we only go 1 on base. I played catcher. My fist at bat was in the 4th and we were down 22 - 0. I bounces one over the fence for a ground rule double. I bet we had 10 errors in the first 3 innings. We lost 28 - 2 or something like that.

Well we played them again two weeks ago and we got a couple of upgrades in the field and I pitched(that should tell you how bad they sucked) I am scared of the ball, but I wanted to pitch so we did not look like idiot. I mean the other team in the first game dribble some to the pitcher and it either went between his legs or he tossed it over the 1b's head.

Second game I got a H-run and we lost 15-12. much better.

i hate people that think and brag about being great and they suck worse than me.

check--I know what you mean, For some reason people believe that they are awesome in softball. I mean softball is really fucking easy, how hard is it to catch a fly ball and get basehits, but you would be amazed.

I played with these 40 year olds last week, the guy I work with was like, yea we need one more player, but its more than a game to us, we take it seriously, Our leauge is pretty challenging, and we are all really good. So ok, I was kinda feeling the pressure, so I go out there, batted 9th, It was so fucking ridiculous, both of the teams were so horrible, every ground ball was an error and about 5 flyballs hit the groud. Someone would hit a shitty basehit and the team would cheer and give high fives. So I get up there and jack a bomb on my first AB only to find out that it is a NO homerun leauge, so it was an out. I was amazed that there were No homerun leauges, what kinda fun is that?? I guess if you stuggle for 1 or 2 hits a game in softball, you don't care about homeruns.

Anyways, I don't understand why people brag about softball when they suck, I guess they assume that its hard to get basehits.

I personally think softball is harder then hardball. Theres a ton more action, more runs in softball then hits in hardball, so much more defense. harder to hit in hardball though, but thats why u dont have to be as good in the field.

had to bring it back cause I went yard last 3 times last night, never done that before, unfortunatly it was a one-home run leauge, so the other 2 were outs, so basically I looked like a complete idiot hitting the other 2 bombs, BUT THEY SURE FELT GOOD!!!!
