I found the movie to be in my top ten list of great movies. I think this movie will produce at least 3-5 more follow-up movies.

What do youguys think?

Also Halle Berry tits are nice s HELL.

Personally I liked Mystiques (Rebecca Stamos) tits more, but Storms were looking nice. As far as the movie went, I was dissapointed. THey tried cramming to much into 1hr 40min. I also thought the acting stunk with the excetpion of Xavier, Wolverine, and Magneto. 2 thumbs down here

I think they were wrong to keep its running length so short. Some of the more personal stories were very interesting and there could have been more room for them...or another fight scene. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I have a theory about this movie. The X-Files was so-so when I first saw it. One day I was bored and went to see it again and, shazaam!, it was awesome. The X-Men has the same feel to it except I liked it better the first time around. I may make time to see it again on the big screen to see if it truly has this second viewing quality.

I thought it was good. Wolverine did a good job & so did Mystic. Gladiator is still the summer best but X-men the sequel should be better. Isn't Rogue suppost to be a strong ass girl?

I agree about Gladiator. I'm not so sure about the sequel. They have to keep the movie character driven and dark (I think this movie could have been a little darker like the first Batman).

Formula that was in the comic books. Rogue got her strength and invulnerability from Marvel Girl, who she held onto too long. Yes in my storage there are some boxes full of my old stuff.

I loved it. It was not cheesy at all which is what I feared. It was a little short but thats because the studio cut a big chunk of the budget before it even started. The original script called for beast, collossus, and the danger room to be in the movie.

I really like the movie, which surprised me. I've always been a huge comic book and at first I thought I would hate it due to the costumes and the fact that the ages of the X-Men were all screwed up, you can't tell me cyclops wasn't too young for the role. Also, Rouge is gorgeous for a comic character, and Paquin did not fit the role, but it was ok cause she was just the teenage role, plus they totaly threw out the fact that Mystique is Rouges Mother.

anyone catch the cameo appearances of bobby blake (iceman) and kitty pryde? hehe. i did. well actually a guy at work told me but hey i gotta look cool somehow.

hehe, whats up with using the toad in the first movie??? weak. hehe. they should have had juggernaut. now thats a tough dude. but i guess it would have been too much for the first movie. i forsee a few more. at least one.
to all who hated it, remember, this movie was to introduce the characters and the basic premise of mutant/human etc. im sure #2 will be of more "substance" if thats what you are looking for. if it doesnt, "the green mile" is out on video. save your loot and go cry watching that. hehe.

I feel if they would have put all the things that we know about the X-men, the movie would have lasted about three days. I am very glad that it did not turn out cheezzzzzzzy. They put in a lot of money were it was needed. Rogue needs to kill the wrong super hero to get her flying ability and super strength. I feel the next X-Men will kick ass.

I am also glad they did not over hype the movie like Star Wars. As much hype wnet into that movie you would think GOD would have came walking out of the screen.

Considering most comic books-turned-movies suck balls, X-men was very well done. They did a great job with making it seem as realistic as possible, which isnt easy w/ a story like this one. Overall a good movie but not amazing.

I'd like to see Apocolypse and juggernaut myself. Apocolypse would have to be completely animated to look cool (no actor could play that role) and there is nobody alive that is big enough to be the juggernaut.

On another note, Spider Man is in the works and it has three times the amount of money being spent on it then X-Men got. Cameron wrote the script and the villains will be Doc Ock and The Green Goblin

Did the Hulk ever fight the Juggernaut in the comic's? I would be an awesome fight. I'll take the green guy. The first Batman was the best. Nice & dark.

I liked it alot, woulve liked to have seen more action. But its good for those who dont know about the X-Men, it set it up well for them. For, who already knew about them and knew the whole story line it was a bit slow and not enough action. But its still ranks up there with one of my fav's. Like someone said in the thread, I think there are gonna be a sequals, I think this was just setting them up.

I think you're all right on the cheese factor. They did a good job just as Burton did with Batman (the first two...after that, hello cheese! But I will admit that I thought Arnold was hilarious, but was it intentional...hmmm).

It would have been cool if Jackman was smaller like Wolverine is supposed to be and if they could have made Sabertooth look larger. The contrasts during the fights would have been pretty cool.

By the way, read in USAToday that the storyline for the sequel has the greenlight for development (#3 may have a "go" too).

I remeber waaay back when they 1st talk about an X-Man they tossing around the idea of Mel Gibson playing Wolverine. I would've like to see that. I think he would have been cool and he's short too. He's not as short as Wolverine but how many actors are 5'3". I didn't see the movie yet so I'm gonna catch it Friday.

Also I don't think the 1st two Superman movies get their do credit. Both were very good. And Superman II is one of the only sequels that was good if not better than the original.
