![]() ![]() ![]() Well there are no casinos here but when I was in college I had a bookee & it was like $100 dollars on UVA 50 on the over under on the Dallas & Redskins game etc..It went on & on for years & in the end guess who came out on top.I think about it now & I dont know what I was thinking back then,I must have been addicted.Plus back then I didnt even have any money for all that.As far as casinos go I can tell you this the next time you go look around the place.Look at the all the glamour & expensive things. The place is made of money,& all that money is coming out of all the gambling. So that should tell you whos comining out on top. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did anyone think that these beautiful mega resort casino playlands get built due to players winning? Gambling is addictive for anyone. It's the old operant conditioning trick. You get a little reward every now and then to keep you going, but in the end-the house wins. When I go, I expect to lose. The best way to keep playing is to hit the Blackjack table. House edge against a smart player is only about 1-2%. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i use to play blackjack as a part time job. at one point i had my bankroll up to $16,000. one day i got bored with it and havnt played since. remember casinos are entertainment so when you go you should expect to come home with less money then you go with. sometimes you do get lucky thats the thrill of going to a casino. knowing you could win. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Since Harrahs opened here in New Orleans last October they have had 2 people win jackpots on slotmachines. Each jackpot was worth over 1 Million. Guess what! Harrahs claims that both times the machine malfuctioned and the player didnt really win. The first one is involved in a law suit filed by the player and the second just happened last week and is being "investigated". Why people continue to pour money into those machines is beyond me. They dont call them one armed bandits for nothing. IP: Logged |
