![]() ![]() ![]() Hey scooby just go out and get 2 ethernet cards and some cat 5 and some RJ-45's. Throw NT Server or Win2k on one of them for the server and run a client/server network. Or you can just run a peer-to-peer network and forget about a server. It all depends on how many desktops you want connected. Sounds like special bill deals more with larger networks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() yeah-i sell fiber connections and T1 lines mostly....i dont know shit about it, im just not a social moron like our tech guys, who scare the hell out of normal people...i mean i know a little, but some folks eat, sleep, breathe this stuff...scooby, how many nodes you wanna connect...cheapest way is with some ethernet cards and cat-5 cable point to point...but id be glad to hook your house up with a T1...its real reasonable ![]() IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Nah i'm not kidding. I used to run one for about a year. It all depends on what you want to do with it and how many nodes you want connected. The easiest way for a simple network is to throw Win98 SE on both boxes and just buy a patch cable and 2 ethernet cards. SE makes it real easy to do this and easy to share an internet connection on both computers. IP: Logged |
