In the September 2000 issue of MUSCLEMAG on page 300, Frank Sepe is answering a question about getting ripped. In the answer he states that Schwarzenegger had skinny calves in his early days and that only through hard training did they finally develop. My question is this... Didn't he get calf implants? im sure everyone knows this.... when he was younger his calves were so small that he would take pictures cover his calves because they were so out of proportion.. i have never heard of that ...i never heard that that could be done .. peace romeo IP: Logged |

i know a chick with calf implants (among other things)....they look great on her...i admit i was initially repulsed by the thought until i saw the finished product...but she also used the same plastic surgeon as robert redford...so did i, when my akita bit my ear off...oh don't worry, i found it in the yard and they sewed it back on....(not kidding)... I can't beieve he had implants, take a good look at the muscles themselves.Look at them in pumping iron, when he's in the studio posing for pictures, when he flexes them you can see the muscle contract and the defiition and striations show.Any pictures i've seen of body builder's with implants, look like they just have shapeless silocon sacs under the skin, which is exactly what they have.They don't flex properly and show definition, as Arnolds did.His Calfs were like a dense knotty muscle and were a bit high, but he made the most out of them.It's not so hard to beeive that with increased training, Arnold's intensity and a generous helping of A.S. that he improved them. If a calf implant is beneath the muscle by a skilled plastic surgeon it would be hard to tell it's an implant based on the appearance of the flexed muscled alone since you would see the muscle fibers and not the implant. IP: Logged |

Scars? Wouldn't the scars be noticable? Where would they cut? - I don't know if you can make an incision there but if it were behind your knee where it bends - it could be concelealed, don't know how safe that is of course with all the tendons/muscles/blood there. Slopain IP: Logged |

Plastic surgeons often go in through the heal of the foot for calf implants. Similar how to they often go in through the arm pit for breast implants. Most people go to get comestic surgury don't want to end up with big visiable scars. IP: Logged |

I read that he did staggered sets. Between excersises while resting, he would do 1 set of calf raises, then go back to the original set. He would get 15-20 sets of calf raises every other day. I'm starting to do this now and after 1 week, I am seeing a difference in my calves. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Never heard about implants before. That's a bit disappointing. I don't care what guys are doing today as long as the freak show goes on. But the older guys had a certain mystique about them if I could believe that they did it all with the basics: training, food, and roids. Oh well. IP: Logged |
