I have a problem with my girl. I have only been seeing her three months now, and after the initial infatuation of spending all my time with her, I decided it was time to get back into some serious training, i.e. hard work outs, good diet and REST!!! Situation is that she got shitty because I did not go over for dinner last night, I had planed to go to the gym. By the way, we already had three nights planned together. And also that I need to get my rest so I don't stay out late. Man, she doesn't realize how much of a looser if feel, and how much I let myself down when I don't train. I have my own goals too. I am soooo damn good to her that she thinks she is very lucky. Maybe she is too selfish. I just don't know what to do!!!!!

my first post ever was "anyones girlfriend leave them cause you spend too much time at the gym?"....well she did leave me but about three weeks of being without me , she came back and realized that i truly am the best shit since canned beer and if yours goes to that extreme (assuming youre a regular good guy and not an egomaniacal asshole) then she'll come around....explain to her that its a mental thing as much as its a physical thing and its very important to you. BUT , if she gives you an ultimatum then i think youve got to decide where your priorities lie. good luck man its a tough call.

now that i re-read your post i think three months is way to short to be worrying about this. me and mine split during our fifth year so at three months i can tell ya , youve invested nothing and your decision just became that much clearer. look out for number one.

tell her that you want to work out. if she don;t like it. then kick her out. she'll gain 30 lbs in like a day on the day you get serous. take her to the gym. And just a precaution. what to do if she has a problem.

Goleafs- you're damn right, three months is nothing. I guess we are getting to kow each other, thats how it goes! And I am definetly not a egomanic, I treat my women real sweet!
I just don't like then too demanding and possesive. No what i mean

Sour Jerk- I have been trying to get her to the gym, but she i sone thats wants to go , wants the body, but just doesn't do it. i guess we are not really compatable. If it keeps up, I am out of there !

For best results you should just be working out 2-3 hrs. a week. Thats should not be much of a drain on any relationship. I don't know about the rest bit sicne I don't know your hours or hers, but if she sleeps all day and wants to stay up all night, thats her problem. If she is such hot stuff, why wont she go to the gym with you??

I agree with sour jerk.

Talking is the best thing you can do:
Do tell her that you understand there will be a temporary state of withdrawal. Many men work out almost daily for an hour or so. If you do too, do make her feel, if you feel it too, that she matters to you and if you matter to her you'd like her to show it by giving you some space to do what you enjoy so much. Reassure her that you'd like her cooperatate, because you do care about her. Problem solve together, inviting her to the gym may be the best answer yet. Whatever you, do not even dare glance at another girl while you're there just out of respect for her, and don't get a female work out partner either. Cause if she's sad to know you found another hobby, another woman will smell real ugly and stink up your relationship with your gal.

Yeh thanks guys! I'll consider all options. Problem with going to gym together is that she live 30 mins away and like I said befor she is not veery motivated. But one thing has almost tipped the scales, I met her mother last night, and, man, if genetics are going to determine wht she looks like in years to come, I am off it!!! she had better get to the gym. Oh well , i guess in a big world like this, you can choose!
