ouch, bro. Anyway the gas thing is still very shitty here in So Cal. They can charge whatever they want we will pay it - its such a freaking monopoly/ogilopy (sp) or whatever I forget what my economics class told me - only thing I know is I feel like that accountant from hbo's OZ that got bumm rushed whenever that big ass arian dude wanted a peice of ass. and it sucks. Sorry, but when I see a subject that says, "the coolest thing ever!!" I expect more than paying for gas online and then driving to the gas station and filling up. Now, if you paid online and then came to your house and filled up your car for you (within 20 minutes, of course) then that would be "kinda cool." Geezz... that makes NO sense... I live in Calgary, Alberta.. and in our province alone, we have over 3300 wells setup and basically are the oil / gas capital of Canda.. yet we are getting SCREWED royally for gas.. 67.9c a litre!! that works out to about 2.71 a gallon (about 1.86/gallon us).. and we are the cheapest province.. you figure we would stop shipping the stuff to places like the northern us and keep some for ourselves!!! Hey Latimer, I hear ya, Michigan is getting screwed royally with the gas prices. First it was the gas pipeline from Chicago to Detroit breaking (dumping over 100,000 gallons into the Grand River, so they say anyway!). Then today I hear the prices are still elevated because we are at the end of the supply line. Last time I checked Michigan is part of the mid-west...how the fuck can we be at the end of the pipeline. I saw something on the news and they said they were trying to cut the state tax on gas for the time being. I don't see that happening. It is a bunch of bullshit too. Hell the truckers are getting hit the hardest though. They are desperately trying to avoid filling up in MI. I should go buy a mountain bike if this keeps up. Save some money and get some cardio in. Ok , "the coolest thing ever" was a figure of speech...All of us have obviously seen cooler things. Now to the matter at hand, go to priceline.com to get a gas card. What you do is name a price...I named $1.64 (normal by me is 1.75/gal for regular) and it got accepted. You buy by the gallon (i got 20) and then you charge it online. Your priceline card is then credited with the amount that you charged and you go fill up at the price that you named! I happen to do a serious amount of driving so this really affects me.
