you do? i burned half life and i used the same cd key and it works fine online. i dont think you need the serial # for online play. i think you should only need it for the initial start up. i could be wrong since i have never seen the game, but i have never seen where you need the s/n for online play. just a thought. good luck. ------------------ IP: Logged |

The warning in the beginning says that you shouldn't give your SN to a friend because you won't be able to play with each other online cause the SN is required to play multi, and if your SN is in use you'll get kicked off, and considering Im the one with the copied game Im the one that can't play multi IP: Logged |

I havn't really played yet. Its cooler cause there are 5 races you can be, Barbarian, Sorceross, Necromancer, paladin, and rouge. You also get to explore the world rather than one church. The opening video kicks ass!! IP: Logged |

Id have no prob making copies, but you have to install the game first so you'll need the original first. There are three cd's and I burned the game disc, Install the game with a friends cd, and then burn the game disc cause thats all u need once its installed IP: Logged |

is this game really that good? damn. i have been looking for a new RPG to play. i havent played one in a long time. is it a first person view? or above view? is it anything like everquest? my buddy is hooked on that game. its scary. he calls that the "real" world and everything else is a game. scarrrrry. hehe. If you like RPG's like Final Fantasy 7 and 8 then get Legend of Dragoon for playstation, It's a GREAT game. Diablo 2 is much cooler then the first. Im a necromancer and I can summon golems and raise skeletons to help me IP: Logged |

I finally burned my friend's copy and started playing single player today. I went with a Paladin. I was gonna go with the Necromancer but I heard he's a weaker character. The Barbarian is fucking huge. This game is much better than the first. I just completed the first quest and I'm very happy with it. It's smooth and the graphics are tight. Heres the story, Diablo possesed the warrior in the first game and set out to free his 2 brothers. He kills everything in his path. You are in pursuit and have to fight lesser demons and such. I just beat act 1 and the boss was some demon spider lady. Im a necromancer, hard at first but really helps later. In that last dungeon I summoned 4 skeletons, 2 bone mages, and a golem to help. Any other character can only have the help of 1 rouge, but I hired one too so I had 9 characters in my party including myself at once, compared to the max of 2 you can have with any other race. Very ADDICTING game, unless you have lots of time on your hands stay away IP: Logged |

MrMuscle, you can't get on battle.net anyway because Blizzard, stupidly, sold 2 million copies of the game without sufficiently equipping battle.net to handle the load of players. Needless to say, battle.net has been nonfunctional since the day the game was released. My suggestion? Play single player then delete it. =) IP: Logged |

MrMuscle, you can still play with other people, just not on battlenet. Soon enough you'll probably be able to find Serial #'s on the net, but until then u can use the TCP/IP option. You just have to get a hold of a couple of people online that you know and one of you will have to host. The person thats hosting's game is being used, so if you are stuck in the first act, then you could find some beefed up mofo to come back from the fifth act with kick ass weapons to come to the first act and help you with your game and supply you with weapons that can't be gotten yet. to bad burning a copy doesnt work you still have to start the game with the originle cd and then put the burnt one in

Im still in act 3, my mouse isn't working well so Its preventeds me from playing a lot. When I do, I get frustrated cause the cursor is moving all over the place. I also just bought Icewind Dale and have been playing that. If anyone liked Baldurs Gate, get Icewind Dale!! IP: Logged |

Icewind Dale is supposed to be even harder. I cheated like mad in Baldurs Gate. I gave high lvl weapons and armor to all my characters and tons of summoning scrolls. I had about 20 monsters following me at all times so that made the game easy. I still enjoyed the story IP: Logged |

My roommate has D2 and that shit fuckin rocks...... you use the peg leg to go to the secret cow level after you beat diablo, if I remember correctly, and when you kill the cow king or whatever he is called you get some bad ass gold armor(at least thats what my roommate got as a necromancer). send me $15 and I will tell you .......If I remember correctly, you put the peg leg and the book of town portal scrolls (or whatever its called exactly) inside the horadrics cube after you kill Diablo and it is supposed to take you to the cow level where you will have to kill hundreds of cows that walk on their hind legs and then finally the leader guy and Im assuming you will get the same thing as my roommate which is some bad ass armor, but the armor requires 100level strength to wear.....
