Thanx Frackal & others, I never sweat detractors. I always say make your haters your motivators. Some folks always wanna playa hate and never congragulate. oh well. And I don't work for WcW but I've worked with them in the past on the post production end of things, but one of my boys did get fired from there this year for what's that worth. oh and a special thank you to binikimom who put up some nice pix of herself. Dude I love admiring beauty just as much as you!!! And I just calls 'em like I see 'em. Theres nothing like seeing a man pumped, sweaty, and vascular!!!! Hell, I met my man in a shitty dive hole-in-the-wall gym 12 years ago this summer. and it was love at first sight ...both with my man and the weights. I love boxing and NHB fighting but you got to respect the athletic abilities of the wrestlers. Sure it might not be a true sport but that's why they call it Sports Entertainment. A lot of these wrestlers do have "real" sports backgrounds and the time and energy they put into their business is admirable. Most of these guys are hitting the gym hard everyday on some real grueling schedules. They have no offseason and stay in peak shape all year round. Sure the outcome is predetermined but they put their necks on the line each and every time they step into the squared circle. Contrary to what many believe, the bumps they take are real and do hurt. It takes a lot of hard work to get to the top and that's really the only time they see good money. My only beef is I'm flipping the channel like a madman on Monday nights during football season. Unless Da Bears are playing then I'll watch the whole game. Peace IP: Logged |

Yeah most of the time the punches are fake or minimum contact but sometimes they really do hit each other. Not all that blood is fake either. Every now and again you'll see 2 guys trying to sell it go real stiff and draw some blood. A good example of this is Terry Funk and Cactus Jack at the King of the Death Matches in Japan. They beat the piss out of each other. I'm not saying they went all out and brawled but they went real stiff and made some good contact and Foley bled the most I've ever seen anyone bleed in a match. It was 100% real blood too. Take a look at some of the older wrestlers like Flair and checkout all the scars on their foreheads. If you watch closely, when they want to draw some real blood, they'll punch on the forehead on a descending angle with the knuckles where your fingers bend so it tears the skin and draws blood. The forehead is the most common place cause the skin is tight which makes it easier to tear and gush blood. [This message has been edited by Latimer (edited June 30, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Wrestling is entertainment. I happen to like it. I worked at a convention center for four years and was able to meet "THE ROCK", mankind, big show, faroque(ron simmons) who also played for FSU (GO NOLES!)ummm who else, Terry Reynolds, Stupid Al Snow, Shammrock and others. They were all sooo cool. Really the Rock didn't look as big in person, i guess the television does put 10 pound on you. Is this true FN show? You work in that industry. Anyway the Big Show is a HUGE Mofo. For real. I'm only 5'2" , His hand was like 3 times the size as mine. He was a freakin monster. They were all really cool. And now i enjoy watching even more. I wish i would have taken a picture of the Rock and me and i could have posted it. But i didn't want him to think i was a wrestlin freak! (it was only a dream come true to meet him) HA! The reason they say TV put 10lbs on you is because the video image spreads things out. If anyone has ever been on the set of a talk show you may have noticed that the guests have to sit real close together. That's because if they didn't they would look like they were sitting really far apart on television because like I said video spreads things out. Not that many people give a shit about WCW these days but WOW, Booker T is the new champ. I didn't see that one coming. With Booker T WCW Champ and Rock WWF Champ, men of color are wearing the belts in both feds. I wonder if this is just another case of WCW copying again WWF again.
