   Don't get me wrong I loved Gladiator, but THE PATRIOT was unbelievable. It is a film filled with emotion and rage similar to BRAVEHEART. BRAVEHEART is still my choice for #1 though.......... IP: Logged |

Good action and battle scenes but all that passion the movie throws at us lacked an honest feeling for me. I know it's a movie but it's loosely based on the real life of Francis Marion and that's just not close to how things were. I took and "America at War" class last semester and the vision we have of the dedicated, democracy seeking, patriot soldiers just isn't true. ------------------ IP: Logged |

i have seen the movie finally...pretty good. On a replay level Gladiator is better. I'd give the patriot 8 out of 10 stars. gladiator would get 9.5 stars out of 10 ------------------ IP: Logged |

Still, the scene where Mel kills all those guys with a hatchet kicks ass. I think its better than Gladiator, but thats my opinion. Braveheart is still my favorite movie by far IP: Logged |

The Patriot is an awesome film. But in the end, it leaves you with the feeling that something is missing. Doesn't quite hold up compared to Gladiator. Still a must see on the big screen though! IP: Logged |
