IN THE LATEST ISSUE OF FLEX MAG. POWERLIFTER ED COAN CALLED OUT BB GREG KOVACS TO A POWERLIFTING CONTEST. GREG IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE STRONGEST MAN ALIVE, BUT I THINK THAT ED COULD TAKE HIM OUT. ED HAS LIFTED ALMOST 2,500 POUNDS IN A MEET. GREG LIFTS W/ HAMMER STRENGHT AND SMITH MACHINES, ED ON THE OTHER HAND USES BARBELL AND DUMBBELLS. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I don't know Kovacs is once strong mo-fo. If you ask me he should just turn over and be a powerlifter. I mean I don't even like his physique one bit. It doesn't look right. I think he would have better look increases his bf and being a powerlifter. Anyone else agree?

Ed Coan would BLOW kovacs out of the water. I have a simple analogy that will sum this whole thing up: How many times have you heard that Mike Tyson should fight in the UFC, and there's actually some people that think he would beat KEN SHAMROCK IN THE OCTAGON. I know this for a fact b/c they did a poll and more than 50% of the people surveyed said tyson would win. These same people probably would think Kovacs would beat Coan. I guess it's just an American thing were people always are persuaded by HYPE. IP: Logged |

I don't know how much Coan weighs, but Kovacs is around 400 lbs, so maybe he's not so strong considering his size... IP: Logged |

Since Kovacs has about 175 lbs on Coan, if Coan even comes close to lifting what Kovacs does, than Coan wins. I think Coan will outlift him regardless of bodyweight. Although I did read that Kovacs supposedly squatted 765 for 15 reps. I don't know if that was on a smith machine or not, but that is some freaky shit. IP: Logged |

Coan's strength is legendary and documented. Kovacs is super strong but a lot of his claims are inflated I am sure. I don't think Kovacs can squat 1000 pounds - the numberof people that can do that is very small and I don't care about that 765 for 15 reps - it's a long way from 765 to 1000. Kovacs can out bench Coan based on that 587 number for sure. But Ed would kill him in the other two events and have a higher total - not to mention the enormous weight difference Matt IP: Logged |

I have seen Coan lift twice. at 400 lbs Kovac could not even wipe Coans ass at 242lbs. Coan is the Master of Marsters. IP: Logged |
