Not to be a dick, but if you've been drinking "alot", that gets expensve quick. You could save that money and pay your rent. It's easy to spend 80-100 dollars a night at a club. But on a better note, when things are at their worst, they can only get better. Think of what's the most important to you, dedicate yourself to it, and eventually things will work out for the best. I felt the same way 1 1/2 years ago when I broke up w/my girlfriend. Depressed, lost, lazy, and just didn't care. Trust me, things will get better. Sometimes you have to go thru hell to get to heaven. Hang in there. IP: Logged |

Actaully drinking alot can be very cheap. I doubt if he is depressed he is going to drink at night clubs, I imagine he is hitting the beer or 40's in his living room, hopefully at least with a couple homies. When I was in college and training to be a profesional drunk it was $1.99 for one 40oz old english times 3. So about 7 dollars a night 6 times a week. Not too bad. Kaisersosay, I have fealt like this but only when coming off a cycle, since you haven't worked out in 3 mos and have no money I assume thats not the case? Well your making money now so just try to get caught up before switching careers. stop drinking start workin out. There is always Sat to drink right? Things will get better if you do what your supposed to do, its not easy but life isn't easy most of the time. Just do what you have to do, if you can see a doc go see one - if not you will feal better in time. Time is a wonderfull healer bro. You got some bro's on the board who have been where you are and some that still are...so you not alone, just get thorugh this tough period like a warrior. Depression is one "disease" that is very easy to treat, and the success rate is very high. I hope you will see your doctor and ask him for a good anti-depressent and the phone number for a good therapist. ------------------ George George Spellwin

I too have been there bro. One thing i have learned is that if you like your job it is a hobby not a job. Most people dont like their jobs in america, but it pays bills. I could give you some stupid advise about starting a growroom and living your dreams, but that isnt the way for you right now. Get some magic pills from the doctor, they do work. Start working out again and do some running it really helps depression. Everybody goes through what you are going through right now bro. Just keep working and pay rent bro. Things will get better. Ask your doc about something to help depression - i'm on 20mg Paxil a day, haven't been depressed for ~4 months now. Almost eases all anxiety also. IP: Logged |

I totally back you in doing it, it's nothing to be ashamed of to get help for mental problems. SO many people have problems, but just ignore them or act like they don't exist. Get it taken care of man, you will probably feel like a million bucks when you get help! bucky IP: Logged |

My HR department helped me. No one knew at work. It was a good thing to do. Going to the gym never hurts either. I feel so much better after a good lift. Good luck. ------------------ IP: Logged |

K, Last year I had to move from FL to PA because the same thing happened to me. I was a waste of flesh, well, that is what I called myself! Until you either hit ROCK BOTTOM, or decide to make some serious goals in life, you will stay in this rut! Soon you'll find your self "burning bridges" when it comes to family and friends, and hurting those who care about you for no reason. I personally went to Christian Counseling in FL the last 2 weeks that I was there. No one knew that I went, but it was honestly the best thing I could have done. They just LISTEN to you, no comments, no judging you, they just sit and listen. If you ask for help afterwards then they will help you. But sometimes when you go and talk to someone, you start to hear your voice and listen to yourself talk and realize all the BAD that youa re doing to your life! If you are here on this Board then I feel that YOU are a STRONG person and can get back up on your feet, give yourself a chance!!! Swallow your pride and except the mistakes you've made and move on. Growing weed isnt a good life style. You lose friends cause they cant come over and you cant tell them why. You meet a hot chick at the club and cant take her home cause half the house if filled with plants. Every time you leave the house you cant wait to get back to make sure the plants are ok and nothing has happend. Helicopters wake you up in the middle of the night and make you run to the window. Every knock at the door is followed by heart pounding fear of who is that and HOLY SHIT I need to quit growing, this sucks. It did bring me out of my slump, but at a great cost. Computers is the way to go bro. Money fixes everything. People that say it doesnt just dont have enough of it. Life is going to kick you in the ass no matter what, but when you have a wallet full of $100s it cusions the blow. Get those pills for sure. Once you have been depressed for a while your brain chemistry changes and you need those pills to get it back to normal. You cant do it yourself. Goodluck and email if you need anything or just to bull shit bro. IP: Logged |

Kaisersosay: You say you want to work with animals. Find a part-time or volunteer job in your spare time working with animals. It could lead to a permanent job down the line, and in any case it might help you feel lots better, doing what you love in your extra time. And watch the alcohol. I know it helps you feel better temporarily, but I think that it is technically a depressant and may make things worse in the long run. IP: Logged |
