its pretty expensive. it all depends where hes gonna live. by and large you will find that its probably way more expensive than indiana. my family lives in the midwest and housing is cheap and food is cheap. suggestion for moving here, get a card at costco or sams club and dont be too finicky where you live, unless you have the dough to afford it. also gas will eat up a chunk of his income for sure since you have to drive alot here. tell him good luck IP: Logged |

i think yahoo has something where you can compare the cost of living in two places. sounds like that would work perfectly for your brother. i've never used it myself, but my friend was telling me about it the other day. IP: Logged |

San Bernardino is out in BFE and hot as hell. You will pay $800 for an o.k. 1 bedroom. Depends on where he works in San Diego. L8R ------------------ IP: Logged |

well expect to pay minimum $800 for small one bedroom, nothing fancy. gas is always high, as is car insurance. if you can handle these things the rest isn't so bad. IP: Logged |

Huh!?! $800...I don't want to hear anybody complain. I live in NorCal just outside of SF and my gf and I pay $15000 for a 1 bedroom. Ugh... IP: Logged |

I moved from Baton Rouge, LA to San Diego a few years ago. I found that the only thing that was more expensive was housing and of course gas. Other than that, electricity, phone, food, and car insurance were actually cheaper. IP: Logged |

About the gas... are you talking about for a car? Here in Indianapolis it is $1.86 a gallon, on the west coast it is $1.42. But other than that I have nothing usefull to say. ------------------ IP: Logged |
