Just wondering where you guys had the reunion, how many people showed up, and if there was a lot of changes in the people. Did all of you have a 5 year reunion?

geez. i was just thinking of mine a few days ago. i have my 10yr next year. ouch. and the thing to make it worse is my kid brother is graduating from h.s. next year too. so.....he will be in college and yep im still there too. hehe.
im anxious to see how the reunion goes. i know i will be about 60lbs heavier than in h.s. hehe. so i dont expect too many people to know who the hell i am. thats how i like it. maybe those nerdy gals that get all hot will want a short term little roll in the hay too. hehe. never know when people travel for this event. hehe. i could really give a rats ass about most of the people there, i just want to see how life kicked them in the balls. hicktowns are good for doing that. hehe. of course ill post the results of that next year. hehe. peace

My 10 year was nothing grand. I was a trouble maker - was stoned constantly from the time I was 12 until I was a junior in HS. Then a series of events sort of weirded me out - murders, deaths, imprisonments among friends for various crimes (robbery, grand theft auto etc) - and I decided to try to straighten up. By the time I was a senior I was a total misfit - I tried to leave behind my partying friends so I would not sink with them, but the straight kids in school wanted nothing to do with me really.

In 9th and 10th grade I was this sort of coooooool bad boy - athlete, semi tough guy who dated girls on the senior homecoming court and all the cheerleaders in between.... but when I was a senior I could not get a date to the senior prom...literally. SO when I graduated I did not have that great of a feeling towards anyone...not my old friends who would have just as easily punched me in the face for a wrong thing said, or the square kids who also ostracized me once I tried to get on track. I had perhaps one person I would have called a "friend" when I graduated. So I went to the 10 year and also enjoyed who went bald etc.

I was not planning on going to my 20th but last September some guy in my graduating class started a reunion group on the internet at egroups.com. The one guy I would have called a friend invited me to it. Soon a couple of hundred of us were E mailing each other like crazy. I get over a hundred E mails a day. Its amazing how close I have grown to these people I never knew and some of the people I knew but left behind. Old girlfriends who I had split up with and did not realize how badly it impacted them, etc. People I felt snubbed by have become real people to me. many people I did not even know in HS have become interesting people whose lives I care about. The stories people have are great - some are mechanics, others are housewives, some have been recently fired, another is a small movie star who has had speaking roles in alot of movies. We have had mini reunions all over the country and all of us are really looking forward to getting together in a couple of months.

Life can be cruel. People I might not have liked have had such miserable things happen to them that I would not ever think of doing something mean to them at this point because life has already kicked them in the ass. In the 20 years after HS, everyone has had their share of wins and certainly their share of losses. At the 10 year everyone was real busy trying to impress each other. By the 20th it seems we are all more humble. I think it will be much better.

But the e groups thing has been great. IN a way we have been meeting for the past year. I know many of these people (some of whom I could not stand) better than perhaps even my own brothers.

I graduated in '97, so I've still got a few years until my reunion. But I can't wait to see the looks on their faces. I was so skinny in high school. Whenever I go back to my home town now to visit, everyone is amazed. I love it.

Just my opinion here, but who wants to go sit with a bunch of losers that you didnt give a shit about then and sure dont give a shit about now. I am 23 and had alot of good friends in highschool, but that was then. I have my own life now and really dont need to go play is my life better than yours for 2 hours.

Sure it would be cool to go back and say hey fuck all of you that thought I would never amount to shit. I make more money now then anyone in my class and i was the last one that would have been picked for that position. I dont need to go show off for a bunch of people that I couldnt care less if they live or die.

My ten year is this summer, and no I won't be going. I don't care to see those people from high school that I never kept in touch with through the years. Most of my graduating class now are married and have kids anyway!

I loved seeing all the cool kids that are fat fucks now and the looks on their faces when I strolled in. It was poetic justice for me. I was a 154lb scrawney fuck in school. I walked in at 195 with ripped abs, long hair and 18 inch guns. Most of them shit, some stared and a couple of them that didn't remember me(ladies) tried to get friendly. Most of them bought into the older is slower bullshit. Kids, fat, old, all that crap.
