I have two friends that are into fighting. They both share a karate school together. One is number 1 in the country in his style of karate, the other is into the Ultimate Fighting Championships. He also has a national title in it. They both have been trying to get me to train with them. Finally I decided to go with the grappling (UFC). First day was yesterday. Let me just say that I feel like I got run over by a mack truck. But I also had a blast, I'm definitely gonna keep going. Is anyone else into this sort of thing? IP: Logged |

I agree bro. Nothing better than getting into a ring and proving to yourself you can kickass when the time comes. ------------------ IP: Logged |

enjoy and train in grecko roman wresling. Being big makes you a prime target for some punk to want to get a peice of you. Been in many fights go's with my line of work gotten my ass kicked a few times but never by one single person. But excellent sport man stick with it! I never tried the UCF style fighting but I have been boxing since I was 12 and I love getting in the ring. The best is fighting someone bigger and better then you are. It is amazing what you are really capable of doing in this situation. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I am currently training with a Gracie association right now, and it is a blast...we go to tournaments, and people forfeit because they know what we are all about. Stick with it and learn all the grappeling techniques you can because that is where the fight is at. if you take a boxer off of his feet he/she is not a boxer anymore!!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Scary shit for me nowadays. I'm the ass that ups the ante and I can't afford that. It doesn't matter what goes on, my inhibitions are upped with it. I've fucked people up not meaning to and it isn't a good feeling. I like being big and bad but dumbshits push it to feel like they are what they think of you and end up in pain, not my kind of fun. People are week. I ain't about tactics, kill the fuckers. Amps me just thinking about them. Sorry IP: Logged |

boxing is the best...especially for bodybuilders...im not a professional bodybuilder or anything...im only 18...but im pretty strong for my frame (i look like a regular guy in street clothes)...to get a guy bigger than me who thinks hes the shit to box me...thats the best...he agrees...then we get down to the "show"...i take off my shirt...damn, the look on his face...he knows hes fucked up now...too late i just graduated high school this year...a bunch of our guys got into boxing this year...we boxed at parties every weekend...the majority of the boxers were football players...think they're bad asses...i just lift...now they know...fuckers...thats why im the one getting laid IP: Logged |

One thing about fighting or training for it is you I would never trade the confidence you get in yourself for anything in the world. Being big is one thing but when you can be half someone's size and kick their ass there is no better feeling. A good example of this is my best friend used to be such a pussy and I had wrestled for about 6 yrs already and I would always beg him to come to practice with me. I used to train in a bunch of other styles of fighting only to get me better at wrestling (in high school)i.e., sambo, freestyle, grappling,etc.. But point is my boy wouldn't even want to play around with me before he decided to go and after a year of just going to practice here and there the little bastard was the most rambunctious shit I'd ever seen. Just going out there and getting your ass kicked or kicking ass makes you a tougher motherfucker!!! I LOVE IT!!! Stand up for yourself, one thing I hate is to when people let assholes bully them around or anyone they care about around especially sisters, mothers, and your females. They'd rather wish they were dead when you get done with them!!! IP: Logged |

Hey gettnrippd, I can check for you. The guy I train with is #1 in the contry now. And my buddy Billy is also #1 in karate (in his style), so he will probably know someone in your area that can help you out. I'll let you know when I talk to him, he's currently out of town for a while. IP: Logged |
