I didn't realize all those guys are running like 72 volts through their electrical systems, thats crazy. I can understand the fires and all. I've never payed attention to the air ads, who makes a durable system. What about dry rot of the rubber? The bag are rubber aren't they? I like the 15 inch tire ride though, can I keep them? How much travel can I get with the 15 inchers? Another ball crusher is that I am in Michigan(Northern at that). We've got a pseudo lowrider population that is into the spoked and low look. These guys are throwing on 13 inch rims and thats all. One jackass did it to an 88 Trans Am GTA, stupid looking. Drive that bitch in 4 ft of snow!

The best bags are from Firestone. You can get the valves and such from any company, but stick to Firestone for the actual bags. They are rubber, but they will last. Actually, the idea first came from big rigs. Look close at one, they ride on bags. Your 15's will work, might have to go with a lower tire though. The car will sit pretty flat when the air is out! I like bigger wheels though. I got 17's on my truck and I'm getting 19's on a 500sl (MB) that me and a buddy of mine share. Big wheels look cool tucked way up into the fenders. Look in MINITRUCKIN mag for good ads for bags.

Good morning and thanks, glad you found this. I'd like a lot of susp travel without resorting to 13 or 14 in rims. I'd like to find a junkyard swapping guide. An Imp is a B-body, correct? What year front spindles(and out to the disc) will swap into my 62? Mine is a 4-door and I love that fucker.I haven't checked, but do you know off the top of your head what kind of rear gears they pu in the axle when they used the powerglides? What do you think of my 200R4 4spd auto idea?

Actually I'm not too familiar(sp?) with the specs on your car. I do know that suspension travel won't be a problem though. No need to swap spindles or anything like that. Impalas with bags/pumps will lay flat on the ground and still lift high enough to drive. If you took out your coils(which the airbags will be replacing) your car will sit flat on the ground. And once pumped up, will sit higher than stock. All this and a nice ride too, can't go wrong. Oh yeah, good morning to you too!

Hey look, I went "pro" talking about cars! HAHAHA
