   I normally don't like to start threads like this, but I thought it would be kinda interesting to get your comments on this one. I remember going to the movies last week and seeing the preview for that new Jim Carrey movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I remember seeing the cartoon when I was a little kid and it actually terrified me because I thought the Grinch was this scary ass monstrosity! I slept with my parents after I watched it because it scared the shit out of me! Well....ever since I saw that preview, I can't get that Jim Carrey Grinch Face out of my head! That shit actually brought back some old scary memories! I had a dream last night that I was sleeping and I turned over to turn the lamp on to turn the alarm on and I felt this furry thing on my night stand. When the lamp came on, it was The Grinch staring me right in my face!!! I just about shit in my pants with fear!!!! Now I'm gonna be all fucked up at work today because that really bothered me!! I know this shit sounds stupid as hell to you guys and it's actually funny to me also. Do you all have any stupid and funny dreams you would like to share? Peace. ------------------ IP: Logged |

A recurring dream that I hate is getting shot. I have been blasted in 7 dreams, the shitty thing is 5 of the 7 had been females. It sometimes sucks when you wake up and I still feal a pain like I was really shot. Not really scary just very uncomfortable. Slopain IP: Logged |

YOU GUY WANNA HEAR SOMETHING SCARY??? Well about once every other week I get this dream that I'm being chased by a tall, dark death like figure. during the chase I realize that I'm dreaming and that I'm still in my room, but still I'm stuck in my dream and can't wake up, some times I kill my self on purpose by jumping off something, but some other times I fight the tall dark figure I try to think up of weapons for my self or just wrestle him, but he always wins and kills me in my dream, This shit happens at least 3 times per month, and I still can't remenber everything he tells me but for some reason I get the feeling that I know him from a long time ago, he reminds me of something or someone just don't know what???? Okay this is something that totally Freaked me out Big Time! First let me say that I am an Atheist. I dont beleive in ghosts and things like that, but this night changed everything. I'm 24 by the way. I slept at my fathers one night in the spare room while my little brother (13yrs) slept in his room, which is right beside mine. I was lying on my stomach when I felt someone jump on my back chocking me. I thought it was my brother fooling around I tried to yell but nothing came out of my mouth. I was pinned and couldnt move! I eventually was able to slowly "push" what ever was on me off. It felt like a force as opposed to something.I was able to look at the clock that was beside my bed, it said 12:14am. And at that same time, I woke up in the same position as before sleeping on my stomach. I turned to look at the time 12:14am. That day I had an extremely sore neck and was Freaked out! Was it just a rough dream? Thats not all though..... I dont beleive in ghosts, but my dads g/f had her mothers ashes stored in that room. Also my half brothers mother died years ago, maybe ahe was watching over. IP: Logged |

MY GRANDFATHER DIED 3 YEARS AGO,AND A WEEK AFTER HE DIED I WAS HAVING A NIGHTMARE THAT I WAS SEEING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WALKING AROUND DEAD AND TURNING INTO SKELATONS,EVERY TIME I WOKE UP SCARED I WOULD SHUT MY EYES AND ASK MY GRANDFATHER FOR HELP SO I COULD GO TO SLEEP ABOUT 5 MINS LATER I FELT A FORCE SIT DOWN ON MY BED AND I FELT THE COVERS COME UP TO MY SHOULDERS (I WAS NOT ASLEEP,BUT MY EYES WERE SHUT I WAS TO SCARED TO OPEN THEM).I FELL ASLEEP LIKE BABY AND I TOLD MY MOM THE NEXT MORNING AND SHE ALMOST STARTED CRYING WHEN SHE SAID THAT IT WAS PROBABLY "POPPY" HELPING ME OUT.I HAVE NO REASON TO MAKE THIS SHIT UP EITHER,HE WAS THE ONLY GRANDPARENT I REALLY EVER HAD AND I DO BELIEVE IN STUFF LIKE THAT NOW [This message has been edited by Kaisersosay (edited June 06, 2000).] IP: Logged |

I have recurring dreams very similar to some of the others shared. They change a little, but all revolve around the same themes. The last one I can remeber is typical. I'm lying in bed, and I just know I am dying. I try to get my mom to wake help me, she can't hear me in my room, because I am only making muffled noises, and moaning. I try to get up and get to her room, I have trouble walking and seeing. I stumble into her room and fall face first on her empty bed. no one is home. WTF? someone is always home. Look out the window, its daylight, and the neighborhood is empty. Then I pick up the phone and call 911, and the phone laughs at me!!! I get killed, abducted, chased by "the devil" (don't belive in it) try to shoot people with guns that don't work, and pinned down helpless in a lot of my dreams. Most of the time its something wierd like I run to a store and it has a big sighn that says "we never close" and the door is locked with a closed for repairs sighn on it. I know some of you had to have this one! 2 of my others friends said they have had this one and 1 said it is recurring. I dream, with frequency - like 3-4 times a year, that I get into a fist fight with some guy - never the same guy and no one I can place and I feel like a puss. I punch as hard a s I can and it doesnt hurt him. I feel like I am weak its like a 2 year old punch - doesnt hurt him at all. This dream sucks b/c I wake up feeling so fuckin weak. Slopain i've had that one, and it really pisses me off, i sit there beating the guy and nothing happens, he just looks at me. Drives me fucking nuts!!! But 95% of the time I can control my dreams, if someone is chasing me, i think "WTF?? this is MY dream!!" then suddenly i'll have guns or the guy will come and i'll beat the shit out of him. Slopain that's weird that you bring that up. That reminds me of a recurring dream I've had but haven't had in a while. Whenever I get into a fight in my dreams I am never able to swing full speed at anyone. My punches always slow down to like 1mph and by that time the guy has already dodged it obviously. Damn I knew it, Thats weird. As for e2 I can only seem to control them if I wake up in the middle of one recall the dream and fall back asleep and continue having the dream. GUYS! What E2 said is right, when I realize I'm dreaming I just think up of weapons and I start flying and shit, once I jumped off a roof top so I could die and wake up! soooo crazy!!! there are three for me. first is soo similar, i get into a fight, but my arms are paralized, and i can't throw a damn punch, and i try SOOOOO hard. so crazy its not just me. the other two (briefly) are getting shot multiple times, or falling off something really high, like a cliff or building. the twist that comes with it is that when i see off the cliff, i am really high up. but whe i start falling, all of the sudden the drop is like 100 times higher than before i started falling. alot of times as well when i am dreaming (other dreams) i realise that i am dreaming, but can't wake myself up, and freak out cause i can't. Damn, glad to hear I'm not the only crazy one. I rather frequently have the dreams where I can only punch like a baby....just can't hurt the guy no matter what. Fucking sucks. One time in a dream I was actually able to beat someone's ass....felt good for a change! I was actually pissed I woke up. But sometimes, its combined with not being able to see, like I only have my peripheral vision. I'm trying to fight guys or run but I just can see what I'm trying to do, falling over shit, off balance....it's so fucking frustrating....like the feeling you get if your really dizzy from spinning around in circles too fast. And Big Rick Rock...I too have had the one's where I know I'm dreaming and feel like a "force" is attacking me but just can't move or wake up. FUNNY DREAM ACTUALLY... I HAVE A STAIN IN MY CARPET AT HOME, I WANT TO GET IT OUT AND HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT BEING THERE. WELL, I HAD A DREAM THAT I WAS DETERMINED TO GET IT OUT, AND IN MY DREAM I WENT AND BOUGHT CARPET CLEANER, BUT WHEN I GOT HOME AND STARTED SCRUBBING THE STAIN I NOTICED I WAS USING A TOOTHBRUSH AND A SMALL TUBE OF BLEACH!
