I have been impressed how helpful people have been when others on the board have had needs (been blown up, suicide attempts etc). I have a decision to make and would like to get just get opinions from many of you. I would like to ask for these opinions under another name. Is it possible to have 2 nicknames on this board , each with seperate passwords?

yeah you can have 2 or 3 or whatever. just gets a new password and you have to register that name.

That is a legit reason. About the only one.
I know on one of my favorite boards there is somebody, I will not mention names, but I accidently found out they post under about 3 different names and act like three different people and even reply to thereself to cover it up. Really strange and I am no sure what the purpose of it is.
