I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU, AND THE OTHERS GUYS HERE. WHAT EXACTLY IS A FAT GIRL? I AM WONDERING THIS BECAUSE I LOST 20 POUNDS AND NOW AM WORKING ON BUILDING MUSCLE. I AM JUST CURIOUS ON WHAT ALL OF YOU CONSIDER FAT TO BE... I AM 5'4 AND 130 LBS. DO YOU CONSIDER ME TO BE FAT? BE HONEST TOO, CAUSE THE COMMENTS WON'T BOTHER ME. IP: Logged |

It's hard to tell if we can't actually SEE you. It's all in how you LOOK. You can be 5'4"/130lbs....but if the weight mostly muscle and not fat, and that muscle is all in the "right places"...you wouldn't be considered fat. Flex is right, its how you carry the weight. we need to see a pic of you to be able to determine if your fat or not... if your asking this question, I take it your not skinny and toned... what happened to steel beast? haven't heard from him in awhile... ------------------

weight is not important----your bodys composition is...i am 5'4 and a half, & 141 lbs...& i am far from fat...my b.f. is around 12%....the mirror will tellyou if you are fat, not the scale....if you want our opinion, either post your bf% or a picture... IP: Logged |

Fitness Chick... my BF is at 20% now. And I do not have a cottage cheese butt to whomever asked that question. Also, I was told that 12% body fat for a woman is too low! Why do you have it that low? Most of the fatty tissue I see is on my triceps (well where they are located) and on the inside of my thighs, any ideas for how I can tone these areas better? And it doesn't look like cellulite, more like extra skin from losing so much weight before and NOT exercising. I am already doing pull downs for my triceps. Dlady - you just keep working out for you...changes will happen so fast you won't pay attention to the scale. I'm 5'6" 144lbs and working on getting my bf lower. As you gain muscle the scale may change or may not but like FitnessChick said you will see the changes in the mirror. IP: Logged |

It's all in the body fat measure. And who ever told you that 12 % is too low is an idiot. They are the same ones who will tell you not to lift heavy and intense. OMG, you don't want to get too big do you. You don't have the right hormones to get big, no matter how much you lift. keep reading here and you will accomplish your goals and then some IP: Logged |

Toning??? I think that word is overused. You can't target an area for fat loss. You gotta bring you BF% down and and eventually you'll shed the fat in your trouble areas. It's like when i hear people talking about doing situps so they can see their abs. The thing is you're actually just making the muscle under the fat bigger so it's just gonna look bigger and still have fat covering it. l8r IP: Logged |

As for exercises just follow the basics for triceps. Dips, pulldowns, skullcrushers, extenstions. Don't forget to work the biceps too cause that'll definately help tighten up the skin around the tri's cause it's all connected. IP: Logged |
