I'm the typical skinny guy seeking revenge more or less. I was at 5 foot 4 inches and was the only kid in my class that weighed less than 100 pounds (no lie). I felt like shit everyday, I had no energy, I was terribly self concious about myself and I was no good at sports (who says size doesn't matter?). My girlfriend was older than I was, and if that wasn't enough to give me a fragile ego, she was also bigger. Then, in the past few months, I decided to get serious about lifting. I started in about February, just trying to get in some sort of decent shape. For me, that meant lifting weights without shaking like a vibrator. Then in late March, I started gaining some momentum. I wasn't gaining weight or mass, but I was able to perform all of the excersises with proper form. I began thirsting for knowledge of the sport after I had worn through Weider's and Arnold's books. I came on here, and this was one of the first sites (and best) that I've found. Now, I know so much more about the sport than I ever knew was out there. I'm up 21 pounds to 121, I feel incredible (like I'm on a high everyday), and everyone sees the positive change in me. I used to think that I was the only one who had a hard time gaining weight, but thanks to a lot of you guys on here, I found out I wasn't. The advice and information on the internet has been priceless to my continual self improvement and I wouldn't be where I was today without it. Also, looking at pictures of before and afters of people who had made it gave me the motivation I needed to make such a drastic change in my life. I'm glad I started lifting

That wasn't too cheesey was it?

I hear ya bro.....in grade school they called me "bones" because I was skinny as fuck! But my family didn't have the money to "feed me right" so I was screwed basically. I'm now 40 and have been lifting for two hardcore years and the difference is amazing! I get looks now just going to the grocery store, and my body makes just about everything "an event" now. What a powerful feeling, and now I've just started my first AS cycle and can't wait to improve on all that "natural" hard work. I want to look 40 when I hit 50! Good post bro, and good luck.
I wish I could find those "assholes" in grade school now and see what they look like!

Congrats bro!!! Glad to hear it, i understand completely, recently i had to take 4 years off and it destroyed me, i never felt like myself. I wasn't happy, had no energy, didn't want to do anything, finally when i was able to train again my life got back in order. the more i grow, the more i train, the better i feel. I am just so much happier when i can train, i dont' understand how people can go through life without it.

It really is a necessity for me.

Congratulations bro and welcome to the club. Stick with it, it only gets better.

Oh yeah, I'm one of the original hard gainers. I was just to stubborn to quit.

I love hearing shit like this I push people and they push me every day in the pursuit of excellence but have all have extenuating circumstances in our lives that may temporarily hold us back, but the true warrior comes back to what he knows and for me that's lifting the iron. Stay with it Yellow it will change you in more ways than physical.

yeah man.thats just like my story.
i was always the guy getting it both grom guys and girls. the "outcast" you can say. i was good at school, got good grades, and trained athltic, every day. but was skinny as a mofo. at 6' i was like 110 pounds. if you tried to see me from the side i would disapear.
then i started liftin at the ago of 14, to supplement my athletics, i needed to add weight...and i got hooked.
now im 21, and 2 years ago i said "fuck it" and stopped doing athletics. i had allready done some nationals and stuff, but i didnt enjoy it..
Now, im 6'2, and 233 offseason..and still gaining..and i feel GREAT!!
Thank GOD for bodybuilding....
