Just wanted to start a new post going in a slightly new direction. Rich1, you are right, bad cops should go to jail. In fact, they deserve a much harsher sentence than a person would get for the same crime. This is due to the violation of the public trust. On the other hand very few cops are bad, it is over reported when they do go bad so to many, especially those with an ax to grind, the phrase, "all cops are bad" sets in. To get a job in law enforcement you have to pass a background check. This check goes back to the day you turned 18 and puts you under a microscope. Everything you have done in your life is exposed. Right down to the time that cop stopped you in college about underage drinking. After that you are subject to a pyscological exam that last 5 hours. Then an interview with the doctor about the results. Then comes the interview with the agency and the written test. After this you get the joy of taking a polygraph to see if you have been honest through out the hiring process. Of course all this takes place after completing a police academy and if you get hired you can look foward to a field training program that last for 3 1/2 months followed by a year of probation. My point is, through all of this, only a small % can make it through this process that aren't 100 % devoted to the career path. As far as being a hypocrite, Rich1, I think you are confused on the meaning of the word. You see, I believe A/s and marijuana should be legalized. I don't use these substances because they are illeagle. Would I like arresting one of you for using these substances, NO!!!! I would hate it, but I would do it because I took an oath. That is not being a hypocrite, its called being professional and mindful of my duty to uphold the laws of the land. I guess I am trying to show that cops are not the enemy. There are bad ones but many more are good ones. hope you guys won't shy away because of my job. I am just another BB looking for advise. Would never use this board for anything else. P.S. Anyone want to help me with obtaining some Whinny.

Personally I fucking hate cops. They make me sick. Ronnie Coleman especially. But anyways, some cops are alright, they're just doing what they believe in. But it's those other pieces of shit that have a control complex and are just ot to get everyone. You may be down to earth, but it will be a long time before those other assholes clear the name for cops. P.S. Fuck women cops too. They are the worst. They'll sit there and talk shit and give attitude while your against the hood. I love watching footage of guys clockin' them! IP: Logged |

some cops are good, some are bad And yes, women are hired only because they have to meet certain quotas of minorities and women hired just to make it look fair. And they have the same thing for firefighters...once i heard on the radio some firefighter saying that the women firefighters could not save him in a fire if he was trapped because they were too weak and they mostly just spray the water and shit...cause during excersises they couldn't pull the men up the rope and stuff.later ------------------ IP: Logged |

LC, It's cool to have a cop's opinion. It is true that ops only make news when they screw up. I live in NY and I get plenty of that news. Another reason people hate cops is because they bust us for shit like speeding on an empty road, or underage drinking when we're not doing anything. And LC, those aren't crimes. The "people" don't care about that shit. But that's the way the average American meets a cop - over inconsequential shit that suddenly becomes a problem. Cops who actually fight crime are appreciated - it's just that I don't see them because I am not a criminal. I see the guy that wants to bust balls for 83mph in a 70, or give me a summons for drinking when I'm 20. This is the same cop who drives 100 on the Interstate and flashes his badge if he gets pulled over. Laws need to be changed. Matt PS Don't come outr and ask for winny or anything like that. Be more subtle. You may be a cop but an overseas scammer doesn't give a shit. And I doubt too many legit sources will answer to a cop.......can't really blame them. IP: Logged |

I myself like most cops. Many if not most really are trying to serve and protect. My problem for the most part is with the guys who keep cranking out all the new rules, not the guys enforcing them. The US Constitution is great, we don't need tons of new rules to outline every little thing for us. We can blow our noses on our own. In the USA many people are paid NOT to do work - for example farmers (in order to control prices by not growing an excessive surplus of wheat) are sometimes paid NOT to grow a field of wheat. I understand the law makers have a paid job, but maybe lets pay them to not make MORE rules for a while. I have LEO friends at all levels - from county to US Marshall. Its true, if you give a man a uniform it sometimes turns a little A-hole into a bigger A-hole. But the same thing happens with all types of uniforms (from Burger King managers to hotel security) not just police. Some people just can't handle a uniform. Once I was talking to a friend when he got a call. Some guy it seems was getting a** raped by a bunch of guys on one of the busiest damn streets in kansas City (the Paseo).It was right there out on the street. Some people hate cops........ until they are getting a** raped and need someone to help them out. I would like to see the poor schmuck tell the LEO how much he hated him while the cop was pulling all the guys off his back. IP: Logged |

COPS COPS COPS What they have done to my life and I don't hold against them. I was breaking the law and thats how it works. Without them it would be a very ugly place we live in!!! Might does not make right - not even for a cop. If a cop is not able to walk the line, after all of his schooling on law, then it should be his ball'. The code between cops will never let this happen. One of the biggest problems is that the cops see it as us against them and if your not a cop - well then your on the wrong team. Before you go off on me, which is fine! I'm down with MOE, little more fear about the smurfs and all of this will go away. You know they are watching. IP: Logged |

I have been in lockup 4 times, 3 were my fault, none were the fault of the cop that arrested me. I belive that a bad cop, when proven bad, should have the worst punishment allowed for the crime. But I don't think all cops, or even most cops are bad. Some seem to be power hungry, but so does my boss, my uncle, the guy that cut me off in traffic... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Just a thought about the real cause of crime in this country,it's all the assholes in D.C. that are stripping away our civil rights, and the cops just blindly enforce them, they seem to have little sence of what is morally right and what is legally right. Support the NRA and the US Constitution and the bill of rights as originally written, everything since then has ruined our freedom... How about a 20 million man march to D.C.? They would freakout and call in the army of course, but we would be unarmed so any violence would start with them, and you can't arrest or kill 20 million people, even through they might like too, It would be the end of this form of government and restoration of the original government again. Rich1, Do you really want to overthrow the government or are you just blowing steam? Are you in anyway tring to make this march, uprising, happen? If not I belive you are well on you way to being a politician youself. Lots of people don't like the way things are being run. Lots of people sound loud when they talk about how little they like the way things are being run. Almost no one does ANYTHING about it. Talk is to cheap to waste your time on. Look at it this way....aren't things a lot better today than they were say...100 years ago? I would say about 80% of what people might say is "not their fault" actually IS their fault if they look hard the situation. I agree that some cops are corrupt, but without some type of law enforcement, this country will go to shit! Our fore fathers created laws for us to live by and just by an individual living in the US, says that they will live by those rules and not break em'. If you don't like the laws of the US, then move to another country. When they say this is the land of the free, it means we aren't living in a communist country BUT we do live by a certain standard and you should abide by it. We have cops to enforce those standards. Even if it means driving the speed limit, not littering, paying your taxes, My boss just walked in....get back on this topic later....... IP: Logged |

One more time for the uneducated bros, legislators and congress make laws not cops. You dont get to pick and choose what to enforce. In addition, legislators as well as congress are politicians. Which means, their only real job is to make sure they dont piss voters off. And guess what? I am NOT advocating an overthrow of our goverment, more like restoring it to what our founders gave us in the first place. A 20 million man march to DC would obviously force the socialists out and expose them to the clear light of day, right now they are disquising them selves as Democrats. I do believe every single human in this country is a few bricks short of a full load mentally, and when these mentally ill people vote they vote for a crazy fuck, who when combined together we end up with a whole bunch of really sick mind's who have power, Hitler, Stalin, Musolini and a host of others have all been in power because the countries they ruled were made sick in the heads by the same people who lead them, don't ever say it can't happen here, it already did, can't you see that? So, if I understand you, you belive things should go back to the way they started. Back to the time when America had just become its own. Back to the only time in history we were free to make our own rules. I am not saing this is a bad idea, after all it is why they left their home countries in the first place. But are you doing anymore than just saing you think it should change? Americans are not mentialy ill, just weak minded. No one does anything to make things the way they should be. If they do, someone calls them crazy, or a reble and then they end up looking like some backwoods-farm-animal-lovin-fuck.
