I am very interested in learning to become a certified diver.

Anybody have any comments?

Hell ya bro, I have an open water cert and a advanced open water cert, soon I'll get my rescue and first aid cert. I have all my own scuba gear, a dry suit for water 55 F down to 35 F, a wet suit for 60+F and a tropical suit for 75+ F. It ran me around $5200.00 bucks for all my own gear, still need a couple of tanks, and some more weight and another regulator for my small pony bottle as a back air supply just for emergencies. I have dived Hawaii, Santa Catalina, California, Cozumel, the Oregon coast, and Washington states Puget sound, B.C. Canada, and Bonne Terre mine at 165 FT under ground.
Each site requires different suits due to the water temp, I've dived many ship wrecks, and I am crazy about marine life. It's just like going into astronauts training, or at least as close as I'm going to ever come to it. It's another planet down under bro, absolutely the best sport, even weight training comes in second, sorry bro's but lifting is great, but diveing is number one in my book.... TAKE A GIANT STRIDE AND GET CERTIFIED, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE IN THIS WORLD, SO DO IT WITH GUSTO!!!

Het Rich1,
Bonne Terre is in my neck of the woods. I hear its is bad ass. My cousin was a guide there for a long time. He is a cave cert. rescue diver. We have people die here every so often diving caves. SUCKS
I have friends in Cancun who are dive masters. I have yet to make the jump because all of my other hobbies. Only so much money!
