to offically be labeled a midget. I was training today and my partner said to me, you see the midget on the leg press? I said ya, but i don't think he's midget status, my partner said bullshit that fucker can't be more than 4'10". So I said I'll have to post that question on the board someone will know. Help me out I have 10 bucks riding on this one. IP: Logged |

Yo, this one is a toughie, for it's not really a legal matter. There are no laws on the book that pertain to defining what height should be considered average. Looking at this from a medical and statistical perspective, though, I would say this guy is a midget; he's more than two standard deviations shorter than the national average which is 5 foot 10. Thus, any man below 5 foot 4 is considered really fucking short ( like me for example). Are his proportions regular, or does he have funny looking arms and a funky head? If that's the case he could be a dwarf. So, I'm afraid your partner is going to be 10 bucks richer, unless you get him on some sort of a technicality or semantics. Just come up with some post-modern theory shit and win some money. Tell him that it's not a legal matter, and that this whole shit is a social construct, designed to divide us among petty differences so we'll be unable to unite socially and get rid of societal problems, and so on and so forth....

Very interesting points Stumpy, I'll take all of those into consideration. There was really nothing abnormal about his apperance just his height, I'll betting 4'10" or so. That's the first time I've seen him in the gym, so he's either visiting or a new member. He was pretty fucking strong though, maybe due to his rather short range of motion. IP: Logged |

What weight was he pressing on the machine ?, and did you see him stretch his legs after the workout ?. These are just sometihings you forgot to mention. Also is there such a thing as a tall miget ?. But just for a laugh, I once saw a miget and a tall chich (maybe 5'10" or so) have sex in a night club. Man, it was freaky, he was like a fucking vampire bat on top of her. It was soo fucking funny it still get a laugh out of it. Bouncer ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bouncer, that little bastard was pressing 8plates on each side of a bodymasters leg press 10 reps or so, at a Bodyweight I'm guessing no more than 135lb's. Range of motion, for example; would be like you or I doing a 1/4 of a free weight squat. By the way that a funny ass story about the midget tossing one in that snatch at that club, you know he thinks he's the man for pulling that one off. She probley did it as a dare, plus some change. Peace out Bro. IP: Logged |

I wonder if your midget friend would be interested in entering a 'midget throwing' contest. Instead of a conventional power lifting contest, we could see who could throw a midget furthest, maybe over a cliff or deep shark infested waters, just a thought!!. Yeah my 'vertically challenged' friend though he was 'the man' for months after. See ya later man... Bouncer ------------------ IP: Logged |

Thats so funny. I think on the Howard Stern radio show they do have midget or dwarf tossing contests. Ever hear of Hank the angry dwarf? I think you can rent him for parties, hehe. IP: Logged |

Yo, ryry, I was referring to the US national average. You're not that off actually; I picked the tallest height that is considered to be in the average range. Thus, 5'8" to 5'10" is considered average; 5'7" is very close to the lower end of the national average. bouncer, I don't think there's such a thing as a tall midget, unless you're referring to a little dude who is in the high bracket of shortness. Semantically speaking, such a label would not be construed as odd and oxymoronic.

Even though it might sound like an oxymoron...I think the wrestler (they call him the "Grippler" but I can't remember his real name) would be characterized as a "tall midget". Just look at him....he is tall but has midget features. He looks kinda weird to me. IP: Logged |

I know the wrestler your talking about, he definately has the T-Rex effect working against him..........short fucking arms. Personally I like to see how far I midget would fly if you put him one of those Catipults from midevil times, would also catch a major laugh off that too. IP: Logged |

here's some stat's i heard on the radio the other day. the average american male is: 5'10" that's all i can remember. i don't recall the source of the info though, so it could all be way off. but those are the #'s they gave or close to them. i know the hight one is what they stated because i'm just a little taller.
