For some reason my cd drive isn't working. Whenever I try to run it, I get a message that says:
D:\ is not accessible.
The device is not ready.
Can someone help me out?

I worked for a long time on a helpdesk, and our most common fix was to reboot. If you have not done this it will proably fix the problem. If you have do it again. After that, if it did not work email me and I will try to help you.

Re-boot usually helps.

if that fails then the drive is not being detected in the start-up sequence.

If Fish didn't help you yet email me also.

Matt

it happened to me, just tried to see if the drivers dumped, also check to see if its listed on your device manager. run a detect new hardware thing too. help section in windows may have some info for you too. i accidentally told my computer to remove it and had to do those things over and over to fix it. cant remember exactly what worked for sure. always something new with my computer. a new glitch daily.
