you are moving there? oh my god, i feel sorry for you!!!! san antonio, SUCKS!!!! there is nothing there but land, retired people and burrito-eating fat people. i lived there for three years and HAD to get away, it drove me insane. as for the club scene, forget it, there isn't one - and i swear this is true, i'm not exaggerating. there are a few bars along the riverwalk and a couple of big coutry bars. but quality dance clubs - forget it. there is one gym that is amazing, though. it's were i used to train. it's called "olympic gym". a small hardcore gym that is still run by the original owner - bob. most of the people that train there are very serious about bldybuilding or powerlifting (lots of huge guys). i still go there whenever i'm in town, it's the only thing i miss about that city. They have a six flags type amusement park. And there is a mall on the river I think. L8R IP: Logged |

San Antonio isn't that bad... It' isn't the Best Place to be, but it's ok...If your looking for some real club action then Look me up while I'm in San Marcos....I'll be going to school there in the fall...and you could get to it off I-35 in about 25min to the North...and Austin is just 10-15min north of there. I could take you to 6th street, thats some good clubing, especially if your looking for a young crowd, due to the University of Texas being right down the road... you in the Service? The river walk is fun...Good decent food, good walking path even when crowded, and nice shoping at the River walk mall...Plenty of Stuff like camping, biking, trails, and other things besides gyms...Not to sure I believe there is a Gold's Gym there. Email me sometime and I'll help ya out with the area...We could always get some of the people from the board together for a Good Ole' fashion BBQ IP: Logged |
