Thinking about replacing, or just upgrading, my computer. What kind of system do you have? Who is your internet provider? Any internet providers you would not recommend to others.

Hey Vitaman,

I have a gateway 350 and have had no problem with it since I bought it about 2 years ago. gateway has good customer service. I have had bad experiences with Dell's customer service some friends have too. I wouldn't buy one. As for internet providers I use a DSL company called Telocity. I had some trouble with them last week but that was the first time in 5 months. Once I found the right person to contact (not technical support) the problem was solved in about an hour. I have a Sparc5, rs/6000 340, NT 4500r, Thinkpad 380z, Compaq, and one I built with an AMD processor. Your best bet is to go to Frys they have great sales and you can get the internet discount at the same time.

Just dont use AOL!!! Get cable or DSL or some other high speed connection..... if you have Time Warner Cable Co. around your area, you should be able to get cable modem. otherwise just check up with some of the local cable companies

700 ATHLON W/256M RAM(HAD ANOTHER 128 STICK IN THERE BUT IT CAUSED PROBLEMS), DSL 768K CONNECTION. STILL DAMN SLOW!!!

HOW COME THE DAMN PORN SERVERS ARENT UP TO SPEED? HEHEH.

DEFINITELY GO WITH DSL, DIAL UP PISSES ME OFF NOW. IM SPOILED. GO FAST OR GO HOME? HEHE.
