U.S based Orphan Medical is realeasing a new drug soon: Xyrem Xyrem is going to be used to treat insomnia, narcoleps, ctoplexy and alcoholism. Sales will sky rocket! Anyone care to guess what Xyrem is ?? sodium Oxybate; we know it as GHB. Really sucks that its a felony to have it in possesion- think its time I start developing insomnia so the doc can legally get me some. also anyone ever use Bromocriptine (parlodel) to lower prolactin levels while on GHB? - don't want to have to get a wonder bra!

..usually by the time a hot stock tip hits the street it is already way overvalued based on shares bought on this info... it will probably be years before they actually see any revenue for this product...I would watch it climb until the day before the drug is released then sell short.... this is the only way I have found to make money on hot stock tips..... I dont even want to figure out how much that bit of information cost me to learn..... VK IP: Logged |

first off you should never give so-called stock tips through a discussion board. seconly, any medical company that is waiting for fda approvement will either have low or negative revenue (if that is their main new drug), inflated stock value, and a very ugly P/E ratio. Also, one has to remember that the drug may not get approved at all (the process can be long and drawn out). I checked the volume on that stock (symbol orph)it is currently 3700!!! to compare that volume to a small to midcap biotech/pharm. company VICL whose volume is 240,000 (still rather small). Plus, the company had an earnings report just released that reported losses again for the last quarter and the next three!! As for selling short the could be a good market position on overvalued stocks. But one should watch the stock daily to now when to buy to cover (not a regular buy which would give you a hedge position called short against the box) and realize that it is a very tricky game to play.
